So I was about to screenshot something when the whole game crashed and stopped working. I didn't think anything of it because its crashed multiple times. However, it keeps crashing whenever I try to play it again!
I will click the icon, and it loads up the little white box thing that appears before the game itself boots up- like normal. But then, when I click "OK," the game window pops up and then immediately crashes.
How can I fix this?
Note that I cannot uninstall-reinstall because I have maps, items, and mods I am not willing to loose.

You may've installed them improperly or they themselves are causing errors. - Have you tried checking for double duplicates in your particles folder?
If you see any files that end with _0, _1, etc., be sure to delete these.
