Title: The new animations I made have size problems, feline is solved
Post by: FlyingGrass on September 29, 2017, 03:12:50 pm
I've almost completed my canine animations, but I've run into a problem.

The cheeks look like pyramids whenever the wolf does anything except idle, how do I fix that?

The tail also looks thicker.

The feline's upper lip is overlapping the bottom lip, I didn't leave it like that.

I noticed that the upper lip's bone turned black instead of blue, in the Idle animation.
I'm guessing it happens in the roar as well, as the bone was black in the roar animation too.

The top lip's bone is blue in all other poses, and it works perfectly in all other poses, it's just the Idle and Roar where it's drooping down.

I didn't fiddle with the top lip's size at all, I didn't change any of the sizes this time.
I did change the position of it in other parts of my animation, but I don't know when the glitch started.

EDIT: I've fixed the feline animations for now(By making a new Idle pose), I just need to finish the rest of the poses.
EDIT AGAIN: I've finished the Feline Animations!

O h my. Although, I won't lie... that does look impressive o:
My guess is, is that you fiddled with something, correct? Probably the sizer I presume going off from your previous question in another Help Thread I think?
Maybe reverting that to its default settings ( if there is one or possibly before you exported it ) might do the trick? I haven't encountered that problem yet, but then again I didn't really mess with the cheeks, facial structures too much other than with the ears and jaw on my animations.

I fiddled with the size of the tongue, but that's the only size I changed, I plan to make a different animation that changes the sizes of everything.
I didn't mess with the settings at all.

I'll try exporting the bark file whenever I get the time to.

Hmm.. that is indeed odd. And you're positive that it was only the tongue that you were fiddling with?
Nothing more?
And you can try and double checking to make sure that it's just your animations that is doing that. Try switching to default and seeing if the same issue occurs.
Meanwhile, I'll look into it some more just in case no one else offers up a solution for this. o;

I'm positive that I only saved the changes to the tongue's size.
Nothing's wrong with the size of everything on other animations.

And so far I'm not finding much luck despite my efforts..
But there has to be something, I know some people purposely make the cheeks and tail a particular size though..
Maybe a solution will soon pop up if all else fails. No point in starting anew.

Edit: Another thing I just thought about, it could be that it's because you did something with the tongue's size. Try seeing if you can get it back to the original size like it was in default.. I think I recall something happening whenever someone was tinkering with the size.

I have the problem with the feline animations I made now, this time I didn't save any size changes(I did create a monstrosity with the size sliders, but I didn't save it).

I've used blender for a while now. Is that an older version?

Did you know there's a version 2.79? Or does that not work with blender models?

I used to use Blender 2.79, any animations that are made in 2.79 can't be exported.

Did you by any chance resize the cheek bones (Face.L/Face.R) on the canine model?
Check all the animations in the dope sheet.
