Title: Not Able To Load
Post by: Wolftopz on October 12, 2017, 09:42:48 pm
I have been trying to get into feral heart but it hasn't been working. it keeps crashing leaving me to have to retry over and over. I had just finished loading and moving items into my feral heart folder so that may be the problem. I am not sure what to do, that's why I'm posting this now instead of later. I want to see the new items I got in game, so I can add them to my character's and see which ones ill use the most. Thank you, WolfTopz

First off, go into your FeralHeart folder into the media subfolder(so many folders. xD), and locate the "Particles" folder. Then check if there is anything ending in _0 or _1. If you see those, delete them and try again.

You can do the following and seeing this these help o;
Make sure that your Feral - Heart folder is in fact where it needs to be ( I.E windows it's the 'C - Drive' )

You can try changing your rendering subsystems in the 'ogre.cfg material' file and on that top bar, change it to either Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem or OpenGL Rendering Subsystem and seeing if that works.

Another thing you can do is making sure that when you placed the necessary files into your Feral - Heart Folder that you put them exactly where they needed to go. ( Like Markings go into the Markings Folder ). Also, what exactly did you download? Did you try downloading the preset sync from your other post or...?

You can also try and seeing if the firewall is actually preventing you from accessing the game. Try right clicking the icon and run as an administrator.

Hope this little issue clears up for you soon ~!

I downloaded legendary markings and legendary items.

First off, make sure that you're downloading the correct files..
> Legendary Markings 4.1 Download < (http://www.mediafire.com/file/67rf541rkh7051i/Legendary+Markings+v4.1.zip)
> Legendary Items 4.3 Download < (http://www.mediafire.com/file/necyiedage9hnne/Legendary+Items+v4.3.zip)
Anyways, with that being said, try uninstalling Feral - Heart completely as in getting rid of all the files if necessary ( unless you have something valuable and wish to save it then back up the file ) and reinstalling it so you can have a clean slate... Then try it. If the problem isn't happening then try downloading the objects one at a time ( MAKING SURE ) it's the correct files that's needed. Also, make sure that the Feral -
Heart folder is in your C - Drive if you have windows.. ( I'm not entirely sure where the drive would be for MAC users..
But with that said, when adding the markings into your Feral - Heart folder...

Windows C >> Feral - Heart >> Media >> Textures >> Markings. Copy and paste everything from the download and put it in there. Then, you'll take your .cfg file and place it in your main folder...

Windows C >> Feral - Heart and if it asks you to replace, click 'Yes'.

Once you have that done and out of the way, see if the game works. If it crashes, check to see if you have any duplicate particles in your folder and get rid of them. Try changing your rendering subsystems if needed or run the game as an administrator. Also check to see if your Firewall is preventing you from accessing the game.
If everything works, try putting in your items.. Open the file that items came with and copy paste everything into your 'items' folder.

Windows C >> Feral - Heart >> Media >> Items
then, like you did with the .cfg file put that into your Main Feral - Heart folder and if it asks for you to replace select 'Yes'

And then start the game up and see if that works. Changing your rendering subsystems if needed, checking your firewall, etc.

Hopefully I'm not missing anything else and that the game starts working smoothly for you.
