Title: Mac question
Post by: Noivern on January 02, 2018, 12:03:40 am
Hey! I'm not sure if I should post my own thread on this or reply to somebody else's, but here I am. I've been using the PlayonMac way of accessing FeralHeart (as detailed in https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=56782 (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=56782)) through my desktop Mac Pro for the past several months and it's worked pretty well. I recently got a new MacBook (the 12-inch 2017 one) and was wondering if anyone had experience running FeralHeart in any way on one of those without it overheating/damaging the computer. Sorry if this is a bit of a stupid question, I'd just like to see if anybody else has tried it before doing so myself. Thanks!

You can use the PlayonMac way but I don't know if you can run FeralHeart with wine bottler-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oxdPYoMAyk If your laptop is overheating just put something like plastic, glass etc underneath and not something made of fabric. Fabric will hold the hot temperature as a result your laptop is not cooling off and can be damaged. You should check your laptop temperature everytime, If you did the method which I've told you and your laptop is very hot then you should rest your laptop until it's temperature is decreased.

I made a tutorial on how to install FH on Mac without PlayOnMac. You can find it here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=57948.0;viewresults) Hope everything works out for you!
