A while ago my computer updated to Windows 10 and FH would crash when I tried to load it so I stopped messing with it. Recently I've had the urge to try to play again and I'm still having the same problem. Before the update I had both Direct and OpenGL as options but now I only have OpenGL and once the game window opens, I get the "Feral Heart has stopped working.." box. Anyone know what to do?

Have you tried to switch to OpenGL manually?
-
Can you tell me how to do that?
-
Of course!
So go into your main FeralHeart folder. It will be located in your local disk, C: drive, etc
Open up the orge.cfg file
See the top line? It should currently say "Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem". Change it to "Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem"
Remember to save it then try again c:

It already said OpenGL rendering so I just retyped it to see if that would do anything. The game window stayed open longer than it normally does but it still crashed.

Oh, my bad! Accidentally got your options mixed up. Change it to Direct3D9, not OpenGL, so then you'll have "Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem" as your top line

It worked, thank you so much!

I'm glad!! Have fun c:
