Title: Chat problems regarding the " marks

Greetings!

I've stumbled up on the issue that me and another player can't use quotation marks and other similar marks in the chats.
We can do , . ; / []() etc... just not things like " ' ~ ^^ etc. When we try typing those marks, it just places an empty space. That empty space you get if you use microsoft word and press tab; it places a few empty spaces...


We've tried changing up our keyboard settings (change the language to UK) which is what someone had suggested us to do.
Sadly this didn't help at all and it's really annoying as we are unable to use these when in roleplay.


(I've had the game for a few weeks now and didn't change any settings regarding the chat.. The marks didn't work from the beginning and my friend has the exact same issue as me.)


Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? :(

That's... Very strange.

So you can't use ' " or ~ ?

I'm guessing your keyboard is foreign, and changing the settings might not've fixed it.

I'm assuming it's a Dutch keyboard, so try and change the settings to US/UK a few times and restart your PC.

It very well just not like that you have foreign character keys.

I agree with Jango_Fett. I have the same problem with '~' and my keyboard is foreign. I'm pretty sure that's the problem here.

My friend tried it and it works for a minute untill FH crashes...

Yup, that would be because It's a foreign keyboard. You probably have foreign letters where these marks are on American keyboard.
I'm pretty sure you can't really fix that tho. Even if you switch languages.

Managed to fix it!

He did UK version, I myself am now using US and this one doesn't make it crash ;D

I'm glad you were able to fix the issue! Indeed, some foreign keyboards can affect the way that the game works. I'll lock this up for you, seeing as the problem appears to have been resolved. ^^
