Is there a particular reason why the connection has been so awful?? It next to never connects to the main server. I haven't been able to get on in a while because of it.

Are you using the 'Play Game' and keeping the page open while you play?
Try using a different browser.

Yes I am. and I've tried Chrome, Explorer, and Firefox.

If you're using a laptop, try placing yourself closer to the modem, as this might give you a stronger signal.
Do not run the browser in incognito/private browsing mode and make sure you have cookies enabled.
Disable any proxy settings you might have enabled.
Make sure there's no security software blocking the game.
