Title: What problems did Tinypic cause?

Browsing through the forums today I see this message: https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=8658.msg741277#msg741277

I look at the topic's replies some more and found that Tinypic was removed from the forum.

What problems did Tinypic cause? Does it cause problems on other forums as well? If it does cause problems on other forums/websites as well then I'll look for a way to remove Tinypic from the Mechanicafeles forum once it's created after I fix my PC.

Other than that, it probably is just copyright issues between websites or a change of policy. Either way, I dearly hope this helps some. ^^

That was just a guess! I have no idea about the situation, a staff could most likely explain better if they do choose to. ^^ I'm curious as well though.

There was nothing up in terms of copyright ^^

The issue with Tinypic is that it can and will recycle urls. This issue worsens when you realize the fact that Tinypic doesn't have a filter for any sort of NSFW/inappropriate/adult content. There have been instances in the past where someone's image was suddenly changed to something that has no place on the FH forum. It wasn't common, but it was enough of a concern for us to disallow Tinypic completely
