Title: Failed to connect to map server

Hey guys, I've been trying to log back onto the game and play. When I log on everything works fine but when I try to enter into a character and play them I get a message on the loading screen saying "Failed to connect to map server. Retry?", and even when I do hit "retry" nothing happens. The music just keeps playing and i'm stuck on the loading screen.

Anyone got a fix for this?

Hey there! I got an idea.

Have you tried resetting your characters homes? You can do so on the forums by doing this;

Download (in the main navigation bar) > User Panel (top right) > Log in
"Character Reset", you should see that in your menu of options on the left hand side of the page, reset all and try again! ^^

Sounds like perhaps your computer can't handle whatever map it is you're trying to load. The Grounds map is notorious for being very laggy and causing lots of strain for some people. Is this the map you're trying to enter? If so, make sure other maps such as Seaside and Cape work well. You can try reducing lag by lowering your view distance and/or turning off water reflection
