Hello there again everyone,
I am here once again because I am working on a large map pack, and I would like to know how one would create backdrops to give the illusion that there's plenty of world to explore.
I know that the game has backdrops already, but I would like to create my own because I am going for a very specific theme with this map pack. I know how to convert objects, so if someone knows of some .obj files of backgrounds I will happily check them out and convert them. If someone knows how to create a backdrop themselves, please show me your ways so that I can create them too. ^^

What i do it put a picture i want at the background, with the sky erased, in .PNG format, in the "my_objects" folder. Add the "alpha_rejection" code... actually just find the backdrops material & copy that, but give yours your own material header names and change the image names to that of your pictures. Save it is a .material file in the material file folder.
Go in object maker, type "flatplane.mesh" i believe it is, then change the material field to whatever the name you made was and save it as "backdrops(yourmapnamehere)" in the object thing, i'm told it works for other people without having to give ppl the material file too, but i give it out just to over-ride the default mesh texture, and you can change/upgrade the textures later.

Thank you so much Kuri, it worked perfectly! ^^

I'm impressed you managed to follow my poorly written directions.

I'll be locking this up now since the issue no longer stands~
