Title: Texture not working

Hello!
Well I am trying to make a canine preset right now and I want to add the tearless texture (The texture I use) on it. But whenever I paste it into my preset the texture just turns out really big, heres a screenshot for what it looks like when I paste it:

Can I please get some help? I tried everything and nothing is working to stop making it so big when I paste it.

If it's pasted into a new layer, you can just transform and scale the picture by going into layer>scale layer, if I'm not wrong

Thank you! I just tried scaling it to 500x500 and it worked and the texture lines up now! Thank you for the help.
