Title: Weird map problem.

I recently signed up for Feral Heart, downloaded the game, and everything seemed to be working just fine. I finished making my character, pressed play, and spawn in a void of blackness. I would love to describe it more, but its literally just a empty void of darkness. I checked to make sure all the UI options work correctly, and they do, and then I messed around with my options for a bit, this is when I started to think that the game didn't install correctly, so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but that also didn't work.

Hello!

It is likely the maps didn't download correctly it seems, leaving an empty void. Could you also tell me what you used to download the game? The torrent or the web set-up? It could be possible that something went wrong in the download, or you got the wrong download.

At first I tried the web set-up, but afterwards I tried using the Torrent download.

Welcome to the game, and sorry to hear you're having issues with it.

Bawfle posted backup files for the game here: https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=58064.0, maybe try downloading from here. It should also fix any missing map or texture files.

Hey there, welcome to FeralHeart first of all! Your problem might be happening because you need to change your rendering Subsystem. To do that you need to:

In game
Options > Video > Rendering Subsystem and click the other one. Which should be either Direct3D9 or OpenGL. Then restart your game for it to take effect.

Go into you FeralHeart folder, then go to media>terrains>fhmaps and get a screenshot and post it here, or describe everything that you see.

Ok yeah all of your map files are there. Where did you download the game?

Try downloading it from here (https://www.mediafire.com/file/816yk6dc5mcv47k/FeralHeart+default.zip) and see how it goes.

I did some more digging and Red's post here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=10423.msg144821#msg144821) might be of some interest to read regarding possible solutions.

I also suggest updating your graphic card drivers since they have to do with visuals. There is a tutorial by Red on how to do that here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=514.0).
