Title: Stuck In OpenGL
Post by: GigglesTheHyena on April 05, 2020, 06:06:53 am
Whenever I try to open FH, the ogre info thing that comes up first only says OpenGL, and when it comes up, the whole brown background of everything is missing. I tried to change it, but OpenGL appears as the only option. I know I shouldn't be worrying since the server is still down, but if the server ever works again for me, I don't know how I'm gonna get that brown background back.

Now it automatically changed back to DirectGL, and the brown background is back??? I'm confused as to what's happening to my game.

Hm, strange. Have you tried reinstalling the game? Perhaps even try downloading the torrent version, as sometimes the normal version doesn't download correctly.

I agree with Sinygx. Once I had a completely black background, only the menu was visible. I did the reinstallation and the game got fixed. Try this.

If you look in the feralheart folder, there should be a file called ogre.cfg, open that.

It should look something like this:
Code: [Select]
Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem
[OpenGL Rendering Subsystem]
Colour Depth=32
Display Frequency=N/A
FSAA=0
Full Screen=No
RTT Preferred Mode=FBO
VSync=Yes
VSync Interval=2
Video Mode=640 x 480
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No
[Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem]
Allow NVPerfHUD=No
FSAA=None
Floating-point mode=Fastest
Full Screen=No
VSync=No
Video Mode=1024 x 768 @ 32-bit colour
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No

Change: Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem
to: Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
