Title: new .exe crashing
Post by: IcaStig on April 10, 2020, 08:27:46 pm
I downloaded the new .exe and replaced the old one with the new. When I pressed login the game froze and after a minute it crashed.
I downloaded the setup, made a fresh new install of the game, then downloaded the .exe again then replaced the old one again. I launched the game, wrote in my information, pressed login and.. Instant crash.
That's all I can give cause that's all that have happened.

Have you tried resetting your character's home from the User Panel? That can be located on the Home Page.

Like I said, it crashes when I press login after writing in my credentials. So I don't even get to pick my character.

Ahh I read that wrong! I need to wake up lol

Have you downloaded any mods into that new download of the game you installed?

Nope, I ran it freshly installed with the exe replaced.
There is one thing I noticed though cause I read on another post with the file size. On the website it says 1mb, but when I download it I just get 721kb. Tried downloading it from different browsers but just get the same result. Don't know if that has anything to do with it or if the size on the download page is wrong.

721kb seems to be the right one.
Does it have the '3paws' image or just a default system image when viewed in a system folder?  If it doesn't have the image, then it might be glitched.
I'm running mine as 'Windows XP sp3' compatible, works ok.

Ok so so after witnessing the exe magically disappear from the folder I figured it had to be Norton that was making me look like a god damn fool.
I had to reinstall Norton as I was unable to open it, but after all that hassle, it notified me about the exe and I could make it ignore it.
So now everything works like it should xD.

So glad you got it figured out! I'll go ahead and lock this since you've gotten it solved~
