Title: Game still will not connect to server after downloading latest update

I'm playing on a Mac (using PlayOnMac), my boyfriend is playing on Windows, and we are both having the same issue when trying to log in and play. We each replaced the .exe in our folders with the new one from the 9th, but the title screen still says the last update was in July, and neither of us can connect to the server. Any help is appreciated; thank you!

oh i figured it out i had to click the "play game" tab and have that page open
