Title: Wolf Quest Maps
Post by: okami129 on May 21, 2011, 07:59:28 pm
I figured it would be nice to some people if we had our beloved wolf quest back. I know your all going HECK YEAH!!! Because feral heart has size editor so you can be a cub or a giant full grown. Also it's going to work like this. Episode one is the sandy Amethyst Mountain. I want the terrain to be sandy like a desert. Also I have one request before you even think of making this. Please search the whole place of wolf quest maps from every inch. Like play it while your making the map. There are important things. Like a dead forest and a tree that was struck by lightning. Ok once you have finished Amethyst Mountain I want you to decide a good place for the portal to episode two to be. And then make slough creek. Again there are extra details you'll need to focus on. Human materials like boots. (I'll try and find someone to create the mesh's.) Once you finish slough creek then If you played it enough you should know about the cattle ranch. Put the portal in that location and then start creating the map. All you should need are many marge fences. (That you can jump over.) creating many pens. And in each pen you will have a bunch of cows and a calf or two in some of the pens. Also in the back of the pens will be a human house. (You can make it one solid shape if you want or you can have it where character can jump through window. But then I would expect a bunch of human materials and a dog bed for you hear a dog bark if you stay too long.) And last but not least. I've saved the best for last. Midnight pass! Midnight pass is in the winter so all the ground will be covered in snow. There will be forests here and there. Also a cabin somewhere located in one of the forests. Near the cabin will be a ski resort as in skiing tracks. Let the quest begin!

Since they are making the 2.5 thingy I want to have weather in the map. Snow and light/heavy rain at random times in all the places. Feral heart already has a night and day thing so that's settled. And last of all it has many versions of emotions as well as color and markings. Honestly if you add this map then it would completely mean that wolf quest is better a memory in the graphics of feral heart. I am making two more posts for the screenies and videos. Please help out.

Please put 6 cow elk and 1 bull elk mesh in the places of the orange circles locations. I want you to hunt first though because it would help with positions.

Don't forget to put the mountains, hills, forests, and water correctly.

SC
In the map video thingy you will see red dots in many places. Please get onto WQ and run to those places to know what type of human object they are. Also please place cattle ranch map portal in the place where the blue dot is. Remember a place you go with your pups and mate that ends the level? That star on the map called the summer meeting place. Please put the midnight pass map portal there. Also there are 4 dens. You should know about the other 3 but 4 is on the Bison hill and at the side towards the slough creek water.

AM
It should be easy. There was a dead tree in the land somewhere but please explore so you can get a feel for the land structure and see all the rocks and out of place items.

Info on Amathyst mountain
This place is in the desert and is in the summer. You will find that most of the forest trees here are dead because they were burned. Some have fallen over too. The dead forest is called the burn. But there is still life and trees alive in another section. A living forest that covers most of one side and are easily seen in the maps. A dead tree is in one of those live forests killed by lightning. Near the waters there is a couple of rocks and a dead tree with a dead elk under it.

Info on Slough creek
Slough creek is a lush foresty and plant life area where forests grow in larger amounts then in AM. It is during the spring that is for this place. A lone tree grows close to a small hill. In the distance are large forests and water is large enough to cut the land in half. Although this spring of lush plant life also comes with hunters. All the rabbits were shot in hunting and only elk in the hunting grounds were untouched. Bears were also killed luckily so spotting them is rare. and they almost are never seen. (Unless you rp them or say that they are here.) Lots of human materials are left in many places from the hunt. Humans have stopped hunting now but the scarce food means that you will have to visit farms here and there as well as hunt elk.

Info on cattle ranch
There will be many cows in lots of random places in the pens and it will be best to visit only in the night for in roleplay the farmer will wake and send his farm dog (Me) to chase you off or kill you. At night they all sleep and when you kill a calf you have time before the farm dog chases after you. >8D

Info on midnight pass
Completely snowy and always a snow storm most of the time, MP makes a great ski resort for humans and that means a cabin and lots of skiing tracks. in many random places. It has many hills and forests on those hills. All prey has gone into hiding for the winter meaning no elk mesh here. There is a lake but it's completely frozen over along with streams.

o.e
Sorry if it sounded rude. I wasn't sorry, I genuinely meant to be rude because they were rude. What I meant was I was actually planning to have 1 more for some of the screenshots as an idea for midnight pass. I'm annoyed that now I can't add it without the thing looking weird.

Edit: Ok I figured out how to make it all look perfectly.

Doubt the caps were necessary, but, as I am not active in the WQ community anymore (Was last year, but then it got old and snobby) I don't see any reason not to add other stuff, not just WQ itself 030

Haha. And if you keep your eyes open at the cattle ranch you might see a Labrador retriever. My hopes is that this game works out. Also yes there's no midnight pass in wq and will never be that is in THE wq but in my wq that so far was believed to be the episode 3. And nobody plays wq anymore unless they don't know about fh.

I've got a work-in-progress of a rather bugged Slough Creek saved somewhere. Haven't played FH in a while but I'm thinking about returning just to continue its progress. x3

Also, there is no midnight pass nor will there ever be. Keep in mind that the game is based on a real location (Yellowstone National Park) which means any new episodes will likely be based on a real location in the park's general area. That is a rumour as has been confirmed by Cana (WQ Coordinator) as being false. Full reading right here- http://www.wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43648 (http://www.wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43648)
Thought I'd clarify. ;)

Still haven't started with a Amethyst Mountain map, but it's good to see fellow WolfQuesters who'd like WQ inspired maps.  ^^
