Title: Map exporting help
Post by: Kitterr on April 26, 2020, 05:53:37 am
I had no idea where to pop this, so if it is in the wrong place I'm fine with it being moved around by the mods~

So, I have absolutely NO idea how to export maps that have modded objects and sky/weather cycles. I want to be able to give my maps to friends with custom objects. I also need a general idea on what I should put in the folder with maps.

Thanks if ya do help.

If I'm correct if you just export it everything you need for your maps to work is in C:\FeralHeart\exports
The files would look like yourmapname.fhm, .fho (the objects you used), .fhs (the sky), and .fhw (the weather)
The .fhos will be exported as their group name, so be sure to look for that.

I hope this helps

Good basis for me but what files would the downloader put where? Just in exports or-? And should I put the My(object name here)s groups in the file? (like MyTrees, MyRocks etc?)

Once you hit Export, it will export everything you will need to share with your friends. After exporting, there will be multiple boxes that show up saying what was exported. You need to locate those files in FeralHeart> exports, and put them into a zip folder to be shared with your friends.

All they would have to do is put all the files into their exports folder.

If you have a sky file with the map, make sure you export that from the sky maker and it should show up in your exports folder as well under .fhs . That should go in their exports folder as well.
