Error solved by using a different browser (Firefox)

But I'm having problems logging into the game!
I've downloaded the latest version of the game on the site, and replaced the exe with the 1.17a version like it says.
The log-in page on the site is open and running in my browser, I've allowed FeralHeart through my firewall, tried running it with administrator privileges, but I still get the "Failed to connect to front server".
What could be the problem?

EDIT: also, me and my friend (who share the same IP) are trying to connect, would that be an issue? if that's a problem, how could we play together in the same IP?

EDIT 2: I may have been banned for 15 minutes due to wrong password, I think? I just read that the numpad doesn't work in the app. :')

Maybe try to clear cookies? Or try to do it in another browser and / or change the internet you use.
