Title: Game freezes upon start up

So I recently got a brand new laptop and thought everything would be super simple with redownloading. However every time I try to start up FH it automatically freezes. I can't even enter my password or anything because the pointer won't move. The rest of my laptop works flawlessly and I never get notifications saying that FH crashed. The only option I have to run it on is Open, though I remember in the past there being a direct option as well? Anyways, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times with no luck. Any suggestions?

Ah, have you got the latest patch? If so, check if the .exe file is showing as the proper size, it should not be 0. Hope this helps~!

So I've tried downloading the patch several times, but when I open the containing folder to move it, it doesn't show as an FH exe file. It just shows as a file that says Feral Heart. When I had it on my old laptop it downloaded and showed as an exe file, so I never experienced this issue.

Can you check the properties of the file for me? The file could be named Feral Heart with no .exe, but it could be a .exe file. Right click on the file and then click on Properties (the bottom option) and tell me if it's an .exe or not.

When I click properaties it says this Application (.exe)

Good, it's a named .exe file. You can move that into the fh folder and replace the old file! You should be able to get past start-up.. Also, when's the last time you played? Things may have changed since then.

I actually was playing just days ago with my old laptop. When I go to move it into the FH folder, there's no prompt to replace it. I don't see any other exe file in the main FH folder.

Maybe try running it as an administrator? Some antiviruses don't mesh well with FH! If not, try disabling any antiviruses. Check if the old .exe is in there, it may have auto replaced..? If it is delete it. If none of that works, I don't think I can help you further.

I uninstalled my anti-virus stuff, uninstalled the game, restarted, and taking another swing at it. The exe file didn't even exist in the main FH folder so maybe it was a firewall thing.

Hmm, so I deleted the original FH launcher from the download and replaced it with the one from the patch. I can move around on the game login page so I guess I'll see what happens. Thank you for all your help dear!
