Title: Kimba/Simba
Post by: okami129 on June 05, 2011, 11:51:30 pm
Kimba the White Lion Official Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59Xkj7D80Go#)
Ok I will let you say what you want about it but I think it's a rip off of Leo the Lion. Nvm. I watched Jungle emperor Leo first. Turns out Kimba changes his name to Leo and Kitty becomes Lira. Anyway yeah heres where we talk about it and TLK.

I hate when people is like Simba VS Kimba Dx
We all know Simba is the best and true king, and will always be :3
<33 I love TLK, Simba and Nala and will always love them <33
The Lion King is one of the best movies ever :3

Ahh, I don't actually agree with Simba being the best and true king lol 8C
I have a few reasons why butI'mtoolazytotypethemoutsoLOL.

Buuut, I prefer Cubby Simba rather than adult Simba <3 So cute!

I've watched some of Kimba the White Lion, and of course TLK ~
I quite like both, but TLK gets that extra merit for the nostalgia from me. ^w^;;

I love both TLK and JEL, but I prefer JEL because it chooses a deep and meaningful theme and follows through with it. I also like how it goes more in-depth on the whole Circle of Life thing. True, they had a whole song dedicated to it in TLK, and Mufasa had his father/son speech, but after that, it's never really mentioned again and it all becomes Hamlet-with-big-cats from there.

TLKs theme is deep and meaningful, but it seems to kind of botch it at the end and not follow through. I mean, it's all about taking responsibility and accepting the consequences of your actions. If TLK had followed through with that, Simba would have acknowledged his mistake, learned from it, and taken the throne. But he DIDN'T really kill his father, so there was no lesson to learn or reason to change, so the whole 'taking responsibility' theme that TLK had been really stressing up to that point was all for naught.

And am I the only one who thought it was REALLY messed up that no one took Simba's side when Scar first told everyone that Simba supposedly killed Mufasa? I mean, were they really going to trust Scar's word over Simbas?

I dunno. I'm ranting. -_-;

It's a good appropriate rant.
