Title: Graphics issue? (repost, was in wrong forum)
Post by: icytha on June 30, 2011, 05:03:08 pm
Hello, I'm new to feralheart (like...I started yesterday on a friend's computer, but officially joined today), originally posted this in the wrong place ;-.- but reposted it here once I saw the right place to do it

I think I'm having a problem with my graphics card.  When I logged in for the first time, I could see everyone's characters clearly, my character moved around without any problems, but everything was black!  I couldn't see terrain, sky, texture, ground, water, etc. When I was creating my feline, the background was also completely black.  However, I was able to see terrain and sky when I entered map building from the starting screen.
When I installed feralheart, I checked my laptop's info and searched the forum for any help, but had a difficult time finding it.
I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad T410 with an NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphics card (I only saw information about a Geforce).  I'm running Windows 7 and my computer is a year old.
Any suggestions on what I can do to try and fix this?

Have you reinstall the game?

What version are you using? You likely just need to reinstall, because if you were having problems with your graphics card it is more likely that FH wouldn't even run.

Fixed it!  Uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times, changed some settings around and KABOOM all better :D

Change the rendering subsystem, I beleive. I can't remember exactly how right now, I will check and post.

Options>Video>Rendering Subsystem

Change to teh one that isn't highlighted to see if that works for you.

Switching Rendering Subsystems should fix it.
If it doesn't then you are missing some files, uninstalling and re-downloading and re-installing, or downloading via torrent should fix this problem.
