Title: No Option to Select

I've been playing FeralHeart for a few months. The very first time I did, I had an issue with graphics similar to the one provided in the screenshots below. After exiting and restarting the game a few times, it was fine.
I haven't had this problem until two days ago.

A friend told me to change the settings from Open-something to Direct-something (or maybe the other way around) and it was fixed. But now, when I try to start the game, I get this.

I've gotten it before, but with options, and if I clicked Okay, it would run fine. Now it's telling me to select one, which I can't do.
I have a Windows XP, and just fixed up a few viruses off it. Could that have been the problem? How do I go about solving it? Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

You can change your Rendering Subsystem ingame, click on Esc, Options and Video, change to the other and restart the game =)

Thanks, I never thought of that. :) But that's not the main problem here. I just posted that in case the issues were related.

Are there any options in the drop down above that?

Also, I don't think trying to re-install would hurt anything.

There are no options whatsoever. :/ I'm a little reluctant to re-install, as I've heard in many cases it's made matters worse. I kind of want to know what the problem is first, if at all possible.

a fresh install rarely makes anything worse, who told you that?

Several people, they didn't go into details, however. Though I've had bad experiences re-installing other programs. Plus it was a pain in the booty to install to begin with. XD But if there isn't any other solution, I'll try it.

The only people (that I know) that have bad re-install problems with FH, are ones who don't re-install correctly.
Most people just install it again with everything still there, or don't get rid of the folder as needed sometimes, hence their issues.

Huh. Then what is the right way to install? And what about custom markings, emotes, maps, ect.?

Holy excrement, I found Direct#-something in the dropdown! There was nothing before. o_o I guess this is fixed....

The best way to uninstall/re-install would be to save any desired files (maps, presets, emotes, etc.) then use the "unins000" uninstaller in the FeralHeart folder. After it's uninstalled, you should delete the entire FH folder, and possibly re-download the setup and patch.

But if you have it working now then that's good. If it stops working you could always try this though. :)
