The game does that a lot. Try pressing "Save" and then closing FH, then going back into FH, then load your map and click "Export"

Maybe it`s your exporter?
Try loading and saving the default map, then export it. If that doesn`t work, then you may need to re-install the game, if it does export, it's something else.

Nope, still fails. Am I doing something wrong with the portal?

Try going into object maker and re-exporting all of the objects that are in the map, and make sure they export right.

If just exporting an empty map doesn't work, you need to reinstall your game.

But I did reinstall it. I did export a map before, too. Just when I decided I wanted a portal, it felt like it shouldn't work. Don't you need a portal to be able to enter your map?

When you re-install, you need to delete the FH folder, and re-download the setup. (And save any map and preset files before doing so.) Just installing it again isn't very effective. And yes, you must have a portal to enter a map.

So have you done that? :)
