Title: how do I play the game?

well I am a new person here, but I want to play the game, but how do I do that? do I have to install something? if I do, what should I install? I think I would like this game, and the forums! I just have to get to know this place better, I love anime and role playing, I also like making up characters, this will be really good for me!!!

Welcome to the site! To start, you want to go to the Official Downloads page located under your sign-in area. (If you got to the forums, you should know where this is)

You'll want to get the Game Setup. you shouldn't need the patch. If you have any torrent programs, you'll want to choose the torrent. If not, get the regular download.
you should be good to go from there! You can add me in-game when you figure it out if you need any help. Have fun! =3

Adding to this, you can go to "Options" and then "Controls" to see what does what, or simply figure it out.
And as it has been asked a lot, there is no real objective to the game, no tasks or such. Have fun! ;)

oh, wait a minute, well do I have to only download the game setup or the patch, or maybe all of it or something, you know what, I'll just try the first one!

You only need to download the game setup. The patch is for users who already have it c:

I'mma just keep adding to things I guess. xD

You can always tell what you need because off to the right of the download links, one of the columns is labeled "Version" and right now they are both the same, so you'll only need to download a patch if it changes to Version 1.09. ^^

ok, well I played the game, well it is sometimes really slow, but it might be because lots of people are there, but my wolf character ended up on bombfire island, how to I go to a different place? well in a place that isn't THAT crowded, it slows down the game!

Yeah, it really does. I always avoid bonfire because it makes me crash lol.
Anyways, there are a few other maps with less people in it (bonfire the most crowded place). You can go to Ficho Tunnel through the black hole in the wall on bonfire.When you run all the way through the tunnel, you find another portal, which leads to Fluorite Plains, a pretty big map. And from there you can go to Temple of Dreams or Cape of distant Worlds, where you can access downloaded user-made maps.

I noticed about the map thing, I tried to do it, but there were many things that I didn't get, is there something that tells about everything in the map making thing?

Map making? There is a tutorial on it in the sites documentation:

Scroll down to get to the map making menu. The part about masks is missing though.
You might also look for mapmaking tuts on youtube, there always are videos about everything.
