Title: I have 2 questions. Was I being haunted? and what is general used for?

Im not sure if this fits here. if it doesnt plz tell me where it belongs.

kk so I was in my map doing the random stuff I usally do in all maps (Trying to find some random place to sit and do nothing) So next thing I know there was some saying something. (My map is not downloadable) I thought it was a mod or something but im not sure. Then someone else responded and I was liek omg. (the chat colour was yellow) Btw was is general used for?

That is a glitch. When someone talks in group or party chat and they don't have a group or party, it goes to everyone who doesn't have a group or party in that map. If you are in a custom map and do that, it goes to all custom maps. Group is green and party is yellow. General chat is used for talking to everyone in a map, because local chat only reaches a certain distance around you.
