Title: Chat bubbles and a Zoom out option
Post by: Vail on July 18, 2011, 11:02:57 am
I would really like to see an option to turn chat bubbles on, so when people speak whatever they say appears over their head, a lot of social roleplaying games do this because it's a little hard to track what a particular person is saying in a crowded room.

And I think it would be nice if we could zoom out so we are not always so close to our characters, I have messed with some of the settings but I cant seem to get it to where I feel comfortable.

I only just started this game so if anyone knows any ways I can make either of these things happen I would appreciate that. :D

We do have a Zoom out option. Press your scroll on your mouse and move your mouse back and forth.
Chat bubbles could get quite laggy unfortunatly.. I don't think that would work. ^^

Chatbubbles. I miss them from IT. I agree it would make it easier to locate Users.

Chatbubbles are quite the window-taker, though they were convenient. The chat box move fast, but chat bubbles stay longer, and it's a pain to scroll up the chat box. Zooming out and in can be done by cressing your CTRL key and scroll in or out with your mouse.

I would assume the chat bubbles would be an option. :3

Just a big big yes to the chat bubbles. I still don't get why they havn't been added yet. And if people don't like it, give it an on off option and everyone would be pleased.

It is indeed a lot easier to talk with someone if the chat moves too fast. I really liked it from IT, and I think it would work really well with FH as well.

i really would have to vote no to chat bubbles. heres why:

1) if one area was full of many characters, ones words may not be seen, and i dont want to have to block others just to see my friends words

2) to see ones words, your camera would have to be facing in their direction. i dont want to be turning my camera every which way to see what one is saying

3) most rps consist of long sentences. when a public rp is held it would just be a window-taker

4) general chat and advertizing would be a hassle

Firstly, chat bubbles wouldn't replace the main chat, it would have both.

2nd, the chat bubbles should have an on off option just like IT had.

Problems solved for you.

I quite do agree with the chat bubbles, it would make the whole chat alot easier, but it would also lag a bit, I believe that. In any case, FeralHeart has a zoom in-out option, just press the scroll on your mouse, then move the mouse. Hope that helped! ;D
