Around 7 Eastern Time. (Or anytime when the alpha(s) and 5 or more members are on)
Celebrations and Spirits
The Blue Mirage Pack celebrates two hoildays:
New Life- Early spring, there is a large hunt. As a competition, the hunters and warriors are divided into two teams to see who can hunt the most elderly prey animals. There is a feast at night
First Snow- No set date, just the first time it snows. The pups are allowed to go out into the snow, and there are many small competitions for the pups and juveniles, with a individual hunting competition for the adults.
Birthing- When pups are born, their Father, and two of his friends go hunting in their honor. The adults return with pieces of prey to feed their mother. If the mother has 3 pups, the wolves go for three prey items. For a small pup, a mouse is caught. For a average pup, a rabbit. For a large pup, a small fox or small coyote.
Celebration of Mates- When two wolves have become mates, they declare it in a pack meeting. They then hunt together or patrol together(Depending on their ranks). Then then return to a hunt by the hunter where they are first to eat.
They worship the following spirits:
Akhal- This spirit is the patron of war and fighting.
Nesa- This spirit is the patroness of pups, mothers, and elder wolves.
Janer- This spirit is the patroness of hunting and prey
Dwen- This spirit is the patron of healing, leadership, intelligence, friendship and siblings.

Ranks
High Ranks
Alpha Male and Female:
The alpha male and female lead the pack. One serves as Lead Hunter, while the other serves as Lead Warrior. They are ALWAYS mated.
Beta
The beta is the adviser to the Alphas. There is only one, and he/she may take a mate.
Healer
The healer heals wounded and injured wolves, as well as communicates with the spirits, and lead the ceremonies with the Alphas.
Lead Scout
The lead scout is the leader of the scouts. The beta may fill this rank as-well as be the beta.

Medium Ranks
Hunter
Hunters need to be quick, strong and smart. They often go out on long overnight trips
Warrior
Warriors fight, mark the border, and check things out if the Scouts find something. They need to be strong, be able to trust the other warriors, and not afraid to fight.
Scout
Scouts patrol the border, act as messengers between the hunters and the pack when they are hunting. They must be fast, small, and able to hide quickly when in trouble.
Observer
Observers are young teen wolves. They have one day at the age of 8months and visit and talk to the division heads. After talking with them, they decide what they will train in, and are matched with a trainer of their chosen division.
Healers Observer
A teen wolf training to be a healer. (MAX 2)
Mothers
Mother wolves with pups, expecting, or she-wolves disabled and not able to heal, hunt,or fight.
Pups
Pups are born into the pack. BMP Does Not Adopt.

Omega
The lowest rank of the pack, they are picked on by the pack. Loners joining the pack start as this.
Loner/Rogue
Loners and Rogue are not part of the pack, but live near the territory. They are welcome to join us, but If they touch our prey or pups, they will be hunted down by the warriors.

Mina, a preset is something that makes your character have different markings or colors that are possible with the the FH character builder. You have to download it to see it though, so download Six's and put it in Feralheart>Presets

Six lay in the moss and bracken of her den;it was damp in the fog.By her expirience,she did not enjoy fog. It clouded one's scent glands and prevented him/her picking up even the strongest of scents.Her ears flicked as she padded out and was whipped wind at play.It ruffled her fur and sent a small chill down her back.She squinted her eyes,but she could not catch a glimpse of the scout's den.The scout's den lay on the other side of the camp,just a few body-lengths from hers.She shook her pelt and padded back inside her den,only to crawl into the tunnel between the nursery and the healers den.No fog could penetrate the surface of the earth nor seep into the ground,but it was muggy in there dispite the cool temperatures outside.

Ny sat in her den furiously clawing the soggy, cold mud. She hated fog, but it was better then rain in her opinion. She also hated being 'fogged in' as she said, but she would live....for now. Ny paced along the border of the den, wishing she could seal up the second exit Jaeger demanded they dig. She stalked outside, and gave a long, deep howl to wake the pack. It was morning, anyway, and the pack must go on despite heavy fog. Probably no hunting, but Jaeger should organize patrols, and Ny thought she might help SixFlags gather some herbs. If this fog would persist, might as well stock up on well....everything.

Jaeger stood atop the beta den as he had since he'd spotted the first tendrils of mist sneaking down from the distant mountain tops. His eyes shined, his ears perked forward, and he keenly watch the mass of fog lighten as the sun peeked over the currently invisible horizon. His tail swished through the mist behind him and he grinned, breathing in the wetness that clung to the air. He loved fog. Loved the way it crept over the land and dampered the song of the birds that rose from their warm nests to greet the hazy, white filled dawn. It made things hard to see, smell or otherwise detect but that was half the fun of it. Finding and taking down prey in this type of weather seemed folly to most wolves but to him it was an testament to skill and to the ability to understand and predict the wilderness. It was days like this that were the reason he occasionally ran the more common hunting trails with his eyes closed, so that his paws memorized the placement of every root and bramble; so that he knew the position of every low hanging branch and could guess the instant that he needed to duck.
Clouds rolled around him, the fog almost thick enough to feel like water against his pelt. He resisted the urge to shake the moisture off, letting it settle until droplets slicked down the long strands of fur on his back. Not even the cold bothered him now, he felt it, but it was diminished like the barely audible sounds that filled the morning. Compared to some of the winters he'd experienced the chill of the fog felt like a pleasantly cool breeze, only a little bracing.
He focused on the sounds of the birds whistling, wondering which ones were desperately lost and which ones were, like him, enjoying the echo of their voice through the mist. He peered into the thick curtain of fog, almost able to see them flitting among the darker shapes of the trees. Then the fog rolled over and he was left staring into the endless whiteness. He stared at the swirls and tendrils of mist, trying to pick out shapes and imagining them to be spirits visiting the earth one last time before they went beyond. Silly fanciful thoughts, but embarrassment couldn't cling to him while he stood unseen in the fog with all the pack unaware of his morning daydream.
His head turned towards the alphas' den as he heard the muted sound of Ny's howl, he responded with an excited bark, leaping from the top of his den towards the ground that was somewhere in the white below. For one brief instant he was hit with the fear that the earth had dissolved into the fog, but then he landed nimbly and sighing with relief, made his way unswervingly towards where he knew her den to be. The grass beneath his paws was as soaked by the dew as his fur. He shivered with pent up energy, eager to be out running in the cold and the wet.
(( I write long? what? and hey Ny, Jaeger was originally meant as a beta/hunter, not a warrior. But I'm fine with him acting as leader for the warriors until we have an alpha male to take over that job))

Sixflags lay on a small area above the tunnel;while still in the tunnel.She pricked her ears at Nysara's howl,extending her claws just enough to grip onto the cliff while jumping,should she not fall into the damp,mud-slicken ground.She emerged from the tunnel,into the familiar den of her own.Herb stocks were running low.She smacked herself with her tail as a punishment for how lazy she had been,normally going out for herbs atleast three times a week.As she padded out,she thought there was a rainbow in the corner of her eye;she turned and nothing was there,except the rising sun.She turned her head back to where she was facing;across the camp.She turned her head to the alphas den,then trotted to the edge of camp,Nysara and Jaegar in her sight.

Nysara scratched her ear with her paw, dropping her head down to do so. She shot her head up at the sound of Jaeger's gentle pawsteps, and she nodded to him, while waiting for everyone else. She was itching to start the day, Jaeger would assign work to the Warriors, and Ny would find a way to do something with the hunters. She stood up and shook herself out before sitting down again.

SixFlags shrugged and headed west;to the tundra.Most herbs that aid in healing were there;such as Azelea.Azelea,being a flower,was a great poultice if mixed with Burdock root to combat infected wounds.She flicked her tail once at Nysara and Jaegar;then broke into a run.She plunged into the water,soaking her down to the bone.For early spring,the water was cold;abnormally cold.Must be the fog, Six thought.For a second,she felt stubborn about not waiting for Nysara's signal,then she remembered she was the healer.Healers do not hunt,nor fight,they treat wounds.And,healers are the only connection between the gods and the pack.She stopped and sat down,scratching her head with her forepaw.She stood back up and trotted the direction of the tundra.

Nysara snorted at Six as she ran off. She sighed and turned to Jaeger. "Jaeger, could you please go wake the warriors and assign their duties before I banish them to the Outlands." She leaped off the hill outside her den and trotted off, to wake the hunters, Contemplating the odds of a hunt today.

Mina rolled over in her sleep, but in doing so it had her rolling off a little hill inside the den. Startled, she jumped up, hackles bristling. After noticing what had happened, she shook herself and looked around as if nothing happened. Mina shivered a bit as the slight cold seep into her a bit. Shaking her damp fur, she looked outside her den to see a slightly foggy day. Six seemed to have already left and it looked like the warriors were getting ready for something. Laying down, she daydreamed of one day becoming a warrior herself.

Siphon woke in the hunters' den suddenly, hearing growling outside.
/What in the../ Siphon thought in her mind. She decided not to bother, and moved out of the den. Watching carefully, she noticed the Beta and Alpha fighting. Thinking to herself, Siphon grunted, and moved to the woods to hunt.
"Are you proud of me...father?" Siphon growled a little. Raising her snout into the air, she sniffed, and her ears went back. Something wasnt right.
/There's a storm on the horizon.../ She thought to herself. Siphon decided to find a rabbit, or anything first, then go warn the rest of the pack. Sniffing again, Siphon picked out the sent of a rabbit, older, but still, a rabbit. Crawling on her belly, she watched the rabbit nibble on a small green. Siphon's blue eyes, for which she was named, narrowed, and she stuck. With a crack that was loud enough to wake the whole forest, the rabbit fell limp. Grunting again, Siphon padded back to the camp.
Coming back to the camp, she looked around for the Alpha, Nysara. Then, Siphon bolted to the pile of kills, and placed the rabbit down. Sniffing the air once again, Siphon smelled the storm getting closer....
(how was that ?? Eh eh? Sorry I haven't been "active" lately. I've been busy with packing, summer, trying not to get killed by little kids, and waiting for something I ordered to come in.))

SixFlags halted as a sweet smell wafted over to her nose; Milkberry,she thought.Milkberry was not only a sweet,it also provided help in the delivering of pups.The she-wolf turned and followed the sweet scent,under a root of an oak tree;growing in the corner of another root an a hollyberry bush. Two berries,one location? thought the she-wolf.Hollyberries,being toxic to other animals,was a great remedy if mixed with mulberry to sooth cavitees in the teeth.Having the hollyberries in small pouches in her mouth,she grabbed the milkberry and spat the hollyberries onto it,then wrapped up the berries in an oak-leaf pouch she had quickly made.She carried the pouch as she trotted off back to the root,digging under the tree.She was,obviously,looking for some roots; the hollyberry bush's roots could aid in healing infected paw-pads.She snorted as her nose struck something fowl-smelling;the thing she had been looking for.She raised her snout and tore the root from the earth.She opened the pouch and lay the roots near the others;she wrapped it back up and continued.Her tail flicked silently,then decided it was enough to take back to camp,for she had gathered so much it made her sulk in each step;SixFlags turned and headed back,bouncing slightly.

The fog had finally risen above the treetops, leaving the hard packed trails visible to the pair of wolves that loped through the forest. The sounds of the birds, which had been muted during the misty dawn, rose in full force to echo among the branches of the pine trees. The air was still thick with moisture, and the sense of rain and lightning itched somewhere on the distant horizon. The ground was losing the muddy feel as, freed of the fog, it dried beneath the risen sun. The morning chill still clung to the air, making the wolves' breath mist in the air before them.
As he moved among the trees Jaeger constantly had to remind himself to slow down, that Crow was a warrior built for battle and not for traveling long distances at such a harsh pace. Though the other wolf never complained when the beta forgot that, Jaeger still felt guilty whenever he noticed his pack mate breathing a bit too heavily. His eyes darted about as he ran, looking for signs that their enemies had been about. It wasn't much different from hunting, just the prey was liable to hunt him in return instead of fleeing from his presence.
They ran silently along the border of the territory, saving their breath for when it was truly necessary. There were no new markings upon the trees, no evidence that their enemies had yet again encroached on the pack's land. The absence of activity from the rival pack caused Jaeger's hackles to rise. 'What are they planning?' he wondered silently to himself, 'what schemes has their leader thought up this time?'
He'd have to order more patrols, this stillness from their enemies could only mean trouble. With a motion to Crow he headed back towards the den site, glancing distrustfully over his shoulder towards where he knew the enemies lurked in their own dens.
((anyone know if Crow is coming to the rp? Because I don't wanna say what he does if he's here to do it...If that makes any sense))

((Hey Ny, just let me know if you don't want me acting as the other warriors or if you want character sheets for them. Oh, and could Tamara be Nishe's niece or something? That is if you allow me to keep her. Because my excuse for her rudeness is that she thinks Nishe should have been beta))
Tamara grumbled as she sat on the warriors' den, looking out over the other dens for any sight of danger. She flicked her ears towards the hunters den, watching silently as Siphon left to take up the hunt. "Stupid Beta," she muttered, though in truth she couldn't truly blame him. It wasn't his fault that Nishe didn't take the beta position. She glanced towards the mountains, almost wishing that a bear or cougar would climb down from the tops just so she'd have something to do.
She shrugged as she rose, then jumped to the grass below. She took a few steps towards the cubs' den, peering inside to see if any of the little ones were awake. She wasn't a mother herself, but she always took pleasure in helping to train them in the skills they would need later in life.

((No, for the naturalistic thing you have to copy all the files in each folder and use them to replace the ones already in the feral heart folders. For example you click on the Naturalistic file->Media folder->Materials, then copy the water.material. Then go to Feral Heart -> Media folder-> Materials and paste it in. It's a bit tedious but it looks awesome in game.))

Siphon sat for a moment, looking around camp. She turned her head quick enough to see someone peering into the pups' den. Siphon shook her head somewhat, and looked again. Still someone was peering into the pup' den. Sighing, she snatched the rabbit up, and padded out to the pups' den. Walking up to the wolf she dropped the rabbit, and quickly spoke, "Would you or the pups like some of this rabbit?"

-History: Bijoux was born to a pair of alphas in a small pack. Her litter was made out of 6 pups including herself. She was the only one in her litter who had stripes, but she did not feel sad, because her siblings also had different markings. Spots, eye rims, paw 'socks' and others. After 1 year, she set off on her first hunt. She was not very successful on her first try, but after a furious tangle of teeth and claws, she managed to make her hunt, in that case, a cow elk, fall to the ground. She stayed in her birth pack for 2 years. In those years, she was able to find her soul mate, a large grey wolf named Wind. After 6 months, Bijoux and Wind were blessed with a pup. Soon after, Wind's pack discovered his relationship with Bijoux, and he was not able to see her since. Bijoux has been carrying her pup for 59 days, so it is due quite soon.

Joux, the ashen fae was laid on her back in her den. She sniffed around from her moss-bed, her eyes darting from corner to corner. Bijoux got to her feet, and stuck her head out the cave mouth, feeling the breeze on her grey striped fur. Realizing she was quite thirsty, she walked to the river slowly. She frowned, looking at the lack of water in the river. Joux sighed, and lapped it up anyway. Seeing the sun was setting, she padded back to the large den, a sleepy look in her eyes.

The last of the fog was burned off as the sun summoned a stifling heat to fill the air. The storm that lurked on the horizon sent a few meager wafts of wind over the den site, but seemed determined to otherwise pass them by. Maybe later the clouds and the rain and the thunder would be driven towards them, but for now it remained a distant threat.
Tamara glanced up at the huntress as Siphon approached where she stood near the pup's den. She raised an eyebrow at the hare that was dropped before her and her mouth watered at the smell of it, "I believe the pups still slumber, and I would not presume to eat before the rest of the pack." She shook her head a little, reminding herself of the need for manners, and smiled politely. "Thank you though, it was generous of you to offer your kill."
She tilted her head at the other she-wolf, cocking her ears curiously, "I don't pretend to keep track of the hunters, but are you new? I've never seen you before." The warrior wolf sat silently, gazing at the other with her golden eyes. She cast one longing thought to the pups, but decided against trying to wake them for some training. It might have been past morning, but pups still needed their sleep.

The she-wolf snorted as she swam in the water.She shook her pelt as she scrambled up the rocks,and she reached firm soil again.With a flick of her ears,she saw the camp in her sight.Sh padded quickly to it,er muscles in motion; SixFlags had a tad bit more muscle than fat,and would certainly make a good warrior;no,she is interested in herbs instead of getting wounded herself.Her pace was oddly fast now;nor a run nor a trot,but fast.She reached the camp in no time,slowing to a trot. Her pelt bounced up and down as she entered the healer's den.

(Jaeger, have you got to the map yet? If not, add a pile of rocks next to the den, but not connected by tunnel. As Im think about it, I think it would be to much of a mess.)

Nysara trotted through the forest, scenting the air for prey. She thought she had smelt a fox, but they were mostly to quick to hunt. Better luck elsewhere? she thought and cantered off to the tundra. She stopped dead in her tracks, and scented the air again. No....they cant be migrating yet! she thought as she tasted the air, making sure she wasn't dreaming. The Elk were moving out to the summer lands Nysara lifted her head and howled the hunting rally call, or the Hunting Song as Altera called it.

Siphon looked into the other wolf's eyes, and sighed deeply. Then, her sat down, and curled her tail around her legs.
Then, she closed her eyes, and replied slowly, "Yes, I am new to this pack..." Then suddenly, she drifted off into a flashback. ((OOH OOH FLASHBACK TIME))
Waking up in a cold, moist den, Siphon looked around. Blinking once or twice, she suddenly heard growling from outside.
"F-f-father?" She stammered as she peered outside. But her father paid no attention to the small, black furred, blue eyed pup. Her father, kept arguing with the smaller, grey brown beta.
"You cannot keep Siphon any longer! Once she can fight and hunt, she must go! A black wolf is shunned in the pack, as you know," The beta snarled.
"Yes, I know," Siphon's father growled back. "But she is STILL a pup, and she must train. I am having Alyersa train her. On the sixth full moon, she will be trained, and she will be banished."
Siphon, paralized in fear and shock could only stare at her OWN father, the pack ALPHA say that. Slowly, Siphon backed away, and went back to the back of the den, and pretended to sleep. That night, Siphon's mother, broke the early news.

Siphon opened her eyes once again, and said to the other she-wolf, "Not keeping track of the hunters eh? You might as well, since they're very few of us." With a teasing attitude, she padded away, wondering if she would ever, find a true home.

Mina watched the knew wolf from a distance, wondering where exactly she had come from. But just from looking at her, Mina could tell that she looked really sad. Feeling sympathy towards her, she got out of the den and padded towards her. Coming closer, she ran up in front of her and crouched down, wagging her bottom in the air. "Do you wanna play?" She asked, brightly bouncing around to hopefully cheer the wolf up and distract her from whatever made her seem so sad and lonely.

Nysara hunkered down into a bush, paitenly waiting for the return calls of the hunters. If there was anytime for a hunt it was now. She examined the herd and saw a few were lagging behind, looking sickly and old. While waiting, her thoughts drifted to her brother. She remembered the day he 'left'. Or, was banished. He didnt kill that pup! she thought angrily. She snapped out of thinking about Altera and turned back toward the caribou.

"S-sure," Siphon stammered, knowing nothing else to say. Then taking a deep breath, she looked back at the pup, and responded, "What would you like to do, young one?" She looked down at the pup with her ocean eyes, still wondering, 'What is this place, and where shall I live if they banish me?'

Tamara looked at the huntress and the pup with a fond smile, her eyes crinkling a little as their game began. Even though she seemed distracted she was in fact paying attention to the entirety of the den area, ready in case there was any danger lurking nearby. Then her ears cocked to the side as a howl echoed over the mountains and trees, her head turned it that direction. She listened carefully then shrugged, this was no summons for the warriors. She turned towards Siphon and the pup looking a bit apologetic for having to break up their play, "Wasn't that the alpha calling? Perhaps you're needed for a hunt." ((see Ny's post))

Jaeger raised his head and halted his romp through the forest as Nysara's call echoed through the trees. He had to restrain himself from moving towards the sound, he was supposed to be a warrior now, not a hunter. But he wanted to hunt, wanted to howl to the wind and race after the retreating prey.
With a sad sigh he turned and continued the patrol towards the den sites, still able to find no trace of their enemies.
((lol, it's short cause it's not supposed to be here anymore, just wanted to make a response in case we have to drop this rp and start another one in the other site. Now I'm off to there to sign in/up.

Accepted, but could you make his pelt less pitch black? If you do 30/30/30 in the character editor for pelt, Its still black but a realistic black at the same time. Please register on the site, download the map, and send a request to join in-game. Also, post a thread for him in the Character forum on the site, so its easier for me to put him in accepted characters.
