Kotona Pride

When accepted please make an account at www.kotona.proboards.com (http://www.kotona.proboards.com) and you can get our map.
As you awake a stabbing pain welcomes you. Wincing, you push yourself up, unknown of your surroundings. A strong lioness  sits down infront of you a small smirk on her lips. "Glad to see your still with us." She says her voice smooth and welcoming. You nodd, unsure of what else to say. "Well, you traveled so far to get here, I welcome you to Kotona." She mutters stepping aside to reveal an open camp. Hyenas and lions padded around happily mingling in their small groups. Your ears perk forward -Kotona, could it be?- you think, your heart beating through your chest. -I thought this was only a legend.-

Welcome to Kotona. A place where lions and hyena live in harmony and work together. This place is told of to cubs when they are young, many travel very far to reach this place. Though many may never find it.

Rules

I. The Queen/Kings word is law. Disobeying will result in punishment.
II. No fighting due to hatred of other species. (Lion vs. Hyena) Only exeption is if attacked by Loner/Rouge
III. All mated pairs must be approved by Queen.
IV. Common Sense please, not too much OCC we are a group for roleplaying.

Ranks:

Queen: Female leader of the pride, is to be treated with respect. Her word is law.

King: Male leader of the pride, is to treated with respect, his word is law.

Heir: Queen and King's cubs. One day they will take over their positions and rule over Kotona.

Deputy: Second in command. Can be male or female. They organize hunts, patrols and takes command of pride if Queen or King are not present.

Suni: Hunters of the pride.

Vita: Warriors of the pride, will protect their pride mates with their lives.

Kasi: Students who show amazing progress in both the Suni or Vita become Kasi's. They are direct protectors of the King, Queen and heirs.

Students: Young of the pride that have reached an age where they will begin training for being a Suni, Vita or Kasi.

Young: Cubs too young to become Students. The future of the pride.

Loners/Rouges: Lions and Hyena's that are not part of the pride. They may join but must prove themselves to be completely excepted.

Personality: shes fierce and brave, loyal and sweet at the same time, around cubs shes quiet and peaceful, around rouges and loners shes cold. around elders shes respectful and listens well, she would die for her family and friends.

The Black Raven was a little lesser known bar in the heart of Memphis, Tennesse that Aidyn Irvine frequented every weekend.  The young man was in his early twenties, just old enough to drink.  He dabbled in several different liquors, but tonight he was knocking back straight whiskey.  Aidyn was dressed in his usual drinking attire; a white t-shirt that had an interesting tribal design on the front, dark blue jeans, and black work boots.

Aidyn let a soft sigh pass his lips as he looked over his shoulders.  He noticed some older men playing some pool, some playing poker, and empty pool table.  He knocked back his fourth shot of whiskey and got to his feet.  Aidyn made his way over to the vacant pool table and racked 'em up.  He picked up a pool stick and went to break.  As he drew the stick back he felt it poke into something squishy.  He looked over his shoulder to find out what it was. "Watch it." He growled lowly through narrow bright blue eyes.

"Why don't you watch it?!" The slightly other man snapped viciously.  He grabbed the stick out of Aidyn's hands which made the young man turned around. "You wanna make something of it?" Aidyn asked with a faint snarky smirk. "Yeah, I'mma wipe that smirk off your face." The older hick growled.  With that, the first punch was thrown and connected with Aidyn's cheek.  With an audible growl the young blonde tackled the older and fatter man to the ground, throwing punch after punch.  It took several bar goers to get him off.  Once the men were on their feet the two of them were at it once more.

"I could go for a coke about now." Rai whined as she entered the small bar with her friends.  She moved over to the bar and sat down with a bit of effort since her fat ass could barely fit on the tiny stool.  Once her coke was placed in front of her she immediately latched on to the bendy straw.  Sipping at the coke she looked around, then finally noticed and over heard all the commotion in the corner. "Oh look, a bar fight." She commented calmly. "Perhaps our resident cowboy should investigate?" She suggested, glancing over at James.

Personality: Kaito is very cautious and fearful, but acts strong in-front of others. Usually by showing off her amazing fighting skills. She is very self-concious of her very prominate scars on her face.

 Kaito slunk through the night, her dark scarred pelt illuminated by the moon's light. Sighing heavily she plopped down next to an acacia tree, resting on her haunches. Glancing around for a moment she looked to the sky "Please, guide me to Kotona." She begged. "I have traveled so far.." She stopped, looking to her paws. As the murmur left her lips light began to show over the horizon, her eyes lit up. "It can't be.." She said gasping lightly as light began to show over the lush lands of Kotona.

She always loved to run, or at least chasing her shadow along the hot landscape. Before reaching the top of the hill, she stumbles on a rock and lands face first into the sand. . .

Extra: Dune could also be a hyena if that would make it better :)

Personality: Paka is the strong silent type. She speaks rarely and when she does it is often kept to single words or small phrases. She takes her duties seriously, always keeping an eye out for trouble. Her greatest difficulty is interacting on a social level and developing an emotional attachment.  Her favorite recreational pastime is watching the grasses in the distance with unfocused eyes trying to catch even the most subtle of movements.
RP Sample: A dry wind sweeps it's way across the Savannah causing the grasses to bend to and fro, dancing in a gentle wave. Laying stretched out on her belly, legs splayed out in all directions, Paka eyes the movements. Her tail twitches from side to side as she lets her eyes slide out of focus. No longer does the lioness see specific movements, rather she sees everything at once. Her mind assimilates the information, as she searches for something in the waves. Paka's ears lean forward as her eyes focus on one small portion of the grasses in particular. A small smile tugs at the corner of her lip as a small mouse scurries beneath the grasses forcing them out of sinc with the waves.
