Forum Suggestions & Ideas / Idea: Roleplay Discussion Board

I've been making a new roleplay, and I've been needing a lot of second opinions on things. This led me to an idea... what about another board within the roleplay section for roleplay discussion? It could be for people who are making a roleplay and need some opinions, people talking about what good RP ideas would be and what the community would be interested in, or maybe for people who are searching for a roleplay partner, though I'm not entirely sure about the last idea.

It'd be similar to the WIP Maps and Discussion board. Just a little board for people to share roleplay ideas and get some opinions from the community on WIP roleplays instead of having to clog up the other roleplay boards.

And while we're on the topic of roleplay, might as well squeeze a small little thing in quick. I just think a few things should be fixed on the stickied topic >HERE<, just because there's a couple of things that are outdated in regards to the forum boards (such as the Free-For-All roleplay board not existing and clicking on the link just granting an error message.)

I've noticed that there's a lot of different types of usernames across the forum and in-game, and I thought it would be interesting for everyone to share their username(s), why you chose them, what they mean to you, and even how to pronounce them.

VERY LONG HISTORY OF MY 800 USERNAMES:

Personally, I've gone through... A LOT of username changes xD But hey, no harm in that. Everyone's interests and opinions change as they age. I like having usernames that are unique, relate to me right now, and... well, aren't embarrassing.

My first username was greenart6. Way back when I was playing Webkinz. ~~Man, that game was fun when I was younger, I miss it~~ I chose the word 'green' because... well, I liked the color green. 'Art' because I liked to draw and do art and was just obsessed with all of that. And the number 6 because I was 6 years old when I made that username on Webkinz. That username stuck and I ended up using it for my first Feralheart account years later in late 2012.

Later, I moved onto the username Devynex, since 'Devyn' is my name and the 'ex' made it sound COOL. That username stuck for a long time until I made a character named Turtle and decided to switch my name to Turtlex, sometimes spelled as Tyrtlex if that username was taken on different websites. I'm still mostly known as Turtlex or Turtle to this day, even though I try not to use that username anymore.

For a short time last year I switched to NegativeTen, since it sounded like a cool and edgy username and also because I'm incredibly negative and pessimistic myself. I didn't stick with it for long. It was way too negative right off the bat and I didn't really like being known as that.

Now I go as TheGhostlyGoat, and I'm pretty satisfied with this username for the time being. I like ghosts and its spoooooky. The goat part is because I like goats, and the username isn't hard to pronounce or anything and flows together alright. It's kinda a cute sounding username, so I'm hoping I won't decide to switch to something else in like a week.

So, what about you? What's the meaning behind YOUR usernames? Any stories about them you want to share?

Game Discussion / How Has Your Character Evolved?

I was looking at some of my characters and this question occurred to me. How has your character evolved? Interpret this question however you please---whether how they've changed in appearance, personal meaning, personality, character development, etc. etc.

My character, Turtle, has evolved a lot in my all aspects. He started out as a cat/dog/wolf mix and wore sunglasses and headphones. He had the name Squirtle, and was very just optimistic and didn't have many character traits.
Eventually, I changed his name to Turtle after getting some.. angry feedback (i didn't know anything about pokemon at the time i just thought squirtle sounded like a cool name ok) and decided to expand on him and his personality. He now had a family and backstory, but his appearance was still incredibly inconsistent.
Finally I changed him to a regular dog and made him a consistent color reference and appearance, and I balanced out his character a lot more than before. Now I still just try to develop him as much as possible through roleplay and try to make his personality as balanced as possible, and I'm very happy with his character now.

What about you? How has your character changed or evolved from their creation?

Is there anyone else who tends to stalk the 'Who's Online' feature? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, its this. If you click on the button saying '# guests, # users (# buddies, # hidden)' above the list of people who are online, it leads you to that.)

Sometimes if I'm bored or want to see what someone is doing (like if they're posting on a thread or just viewing it) I tend to wander over there every once in awhile. I dunno, it's interesting seeing what threads most people are looking at or what threads random guests have stumbled across, or even if someone is viewing your profile.

Is there anyone else who stalks/visits the Who's Online page? Or have you not even heard of this before? I never hear people talk about it, so I'm not sure if a lot of people use it or not.

I know that we need the new login system because of the new hacking thing and stuff, and I understand that, but...

CAPITALIZE THE 'K' IN KEEP PLEASE IT BOTHERS ME EVERY TIME I SEE THIS SCREEN

Okay, yeah, probably a really stupid and minor thing to complain about, but it does sorta catch my eye whenever I log in, and it looks weird with all the other words being capitalized. Just a small typo I noticed, I'm not really that upset over it, lol. But if it is easily fixable, I think it would just be nice it that k matched the rest of the letters in that sentence. Just a very small thing. c:

Eyyy I've decided to return.

I dunno if anyone recognizes me or not, but I mostly go as either NegativeTen or Turtlex. I just like playing video games once in a while, and sometimes making bad attempts at drawing. Also I'm very fond of goats and bad puns.

Anyways, hoping to get familiar with the game and forum again and finish some projects I've started, maybe even meet some new friends. I'll mostly be on the forum, but I'll also be in-game once in a while under the username Turtlex.

Game Help / Objects with Lights

I haven't been able to find an answer to this. I've been adding some light effects to a lot of meshes through Object Maker, but when I place them into a map, not all of them (though some do) seem to have any sort of effect on the character, despite doing so in Object Maker. In one map I know that I have the same mesh on both sides of the map, but it only has an effect on the character on one of the sides.

Does the whole "Cannot create more than 3 lights!" thing apply to maps as well, with that you can only have 3 objects with lights added onto them in a map at a time? Do all of the lights only take effect once a map is exported? Is there something else I'm missing? Any answers would be appreciated! Sorry if this is a stupid question, I might just be missing something obvious xD
