Throughout the course of his childhood, Aki was constantly ignored by his whole family, especially his father. His mother passing on after his birth, he was entrusted to his father who took almost no interest in the kit, comparing him to "filth". This made Aki slowly slip into depression to the point where he would attack anyone who would talk to him. His father, fearing for his reputation, contracted with a demon named Eren to take on the duties of being his "servant" and being a "friend" to Akihiro so he wouldn't cause any more trouble to him. Eren, however, grew attatched to the little cat and ignored any orders from Akihiro's father, furiously protecting Aki from his father's harsh words and actions. The two made an amazing bond after some time. Akihiro's father, having enough of the two, tried to kill his son by sinking him into the "Abyss", a dimension only accessible to few. To his luck, Eren saved him and in the process, turned Akihiro into a demon. His father was murdered by Eren and the two set out to live on their own.



Akihiro's primary ability is to manipulate his blood and turn it into a scythe. Everything his blood touches melts, so he's especially careful when hurt. Being one of the strongest demons around, he can release extreme amounts of spirit energy into the world and use it as a shield. His most noticable feature is his immortality- however, he can be only killed by other demons and their weapons. Mortal weapons only hurt him, but he can't die because of them.

After using one of these abilities, Akihiro becomes extremely tired and weak, usually passing out on the scene and leaving him vulnerable to attacks. He'll usually be paralyzed for a few hours after using his powers. Not to mention using any of these abilities damages his organs, thus he usually coughs up a lot of blood afterwards.[/center]

This is a very well crafted character both in story and design. To me, it could also be seen as a decent play on the role of a demon from Akihiro's harmless appearance for discretion and weapon-crafting ability.

Amazing anime to be sure,
Not only that but the fact
That you turned it into something
Unique to your idles is quite
