I might try it sometime, then! :3 You guys sound quite nice to play with. Out of curiosity though, does anyone ever use a bit of randomness to determine the outcomes of RPs, such as stats and dice like a tabletop game? Or is it always freeform RP?

I can definitely see what you mean here. Without a plot, people would likely feel directionless and won't know where to go next. However, I'm also... well, not great at roleplaying. I have a lot of IDEAS, but I always feel too nervous to actually DO anything out of fear of godmodding or just generally stepping on people's toes. What if I try to move the plot in a direction other people don't like? I could see why some people would want to have a pre-written idea of what's going to happen next in that case. It doesn't really matter what you do so long as everyone's working toward that end goal. I think a balance needs to be struck somewhere but... I've never actually done a plotted RP before so I don't really know how that would work. ;u;

Oh yeah, I forgot all about shard collecting from back in the day! It's nice to know that it's possible, at least. Wish I knew ANYTHING about coding though, lol.

What kind of mod is skittel's mod? Is it like a map mod? And I can't wait to see those animations! :D I'm not familiar with how they're usually done, so those sorts of mods are always impressive to me, lol.

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Has there ever been a score/points mod?
« on: June 24, 2020, 05:11:31 pm »
I should preface this with: I know NOTHING about mods or coding the game. :/ Granted, I know there's been a LOT of mods over the years, but has anyone ever made a "score counter" mod with associated items? I'm imagining like how you collect coins in the various Mario games. An object is placed, and if you collide with the hitbox, it disappears and a number is added to a score counter. I'm not sure how easy this would be to code into an FH map, but in THEORY it's a pretty standard part of game creation. That being said, if it's possible it would add a neat new aspect to FH maps where you can create not just roleplaying maps but platformers as well, again similar to mario, banjo-kazooie, etc. where the goal is to try and collect all the coins/whatever objects end up using. It would be something fun to do if nobody's on at the same time as you, there could be speedrun competitions, it would add another fun aspect to mapmaking, etc. Has anyone tried to do this before?

(Also uh, please don't yell at me if this is stupid/impossible, I'm not entirely sure how FH's coding works. ;u;)

Popped in today and took a look through the mods thread, and I couldn't help but wonder- what are y'all's favorite mods and addons for the game? Either the ones you find the most clever or the ones you use the most, whether its custom markings, maps, etc. :3
