Just at least try giving it a chance. I know it's hard to recreate characters like they were before but you have plenty of references, and if you can remake them, there you go. And you may come to like the update and have 4 more years of fun with them. ^^

I'm not sure why the characters are gone. However if even your screenshots and presets were gone, it sounds like you either installed the update incorrectly, or someone's been on your computer deleting things.
Yet, a faulty installation wouldn't delete in-game characters.

It was mentioned in the post for the updates to back-up any files.

I onviously don't need to say anything about the language used in your posts.

Hopefully there's a way to figure out what has happened.

Just take a breather, if you need to step away from the game, then do so and just... collect your mind and center yourself more. It's upsetting that everything you have worked for is gone, but that shouldn't stop you from trying to remake them, at least you have some helpful links above and some references ( your drawings ) that you can look at to help guide you. And when you're calm and ready to tackle the challenge, then have another go at it.

That's okay, I know how awful this must be at the moment. I'm glad that you took back all of that language and that you feel bad about it. Take a bit of break.

Even though I know you want to just leave, it might be worth seeing if we can find the cause to this problem and try to understand why this has happened. You never know, we might be able to recover your account, if not show you how to rebuild it.

But I do feel bad for you, it's not gonna feel nice losing all of those characters and memories. I know how much they can mean.
Maybe, if we can't get all of your info and characters back, it might be a good idea to take a break from the game for a bit, if you feel that terribly mad. It would be worth coming back though, to make new memories at the very least.

Oh that's brilliant! Thank god, I'm so happy for you.
At least you didn't loose everything, though it was really peculiar as to what happened, I wonder what could have caused it? Game files wouldn't affect your account info like characters, friends, etc. So that is really weird.
But I'm still glad you got everything back!
