New Map Problems

Okay, so I just got around to downloading the new maps today. I had no clue what I was doing, so I asked my friend who has the maps.
She told me to download the torrent on 'Official Downloads' and go to www.BitTorrent.com and click on the big purple button. xD I did and downloaded the program then she told me to drag FHMapPack from the torrent to Downloads on BitTorrent program. Then FHMapPack downloaded into BitTorrent. I did all the stuff my friend told me to do, but I don't see the map portal.
So, was my friend telling me the wrong way to download it or did something go wrong?
