[SOLVED]Map problems.
« on: June 16, 2011, 04:42:08 am »
As you may have guessed, I've been having problems with the map-pack.
I downloaded it,
Then went into Pathways,
and lost my characters.
I came back, placed Pathways on my desktop, and retrieved characters.
And re-downloaded the pack.
Then tried again... it ate my character again.
I'm not so sure as to whats going on, like.. if u-torrent is killing my computer or what.
So, if you can help me, thanks. I appreciate it.

That didn't really solve my problem, that just told me to do what I've already done.

Don't worry, utorrent shouldn't kill your computer unless you actually download things that contain malicious software n sturfff..

There could probably be a few things, but just a wild guess from my side is that you

1. Didn't install the maps correctly
2. Loose connection to the server as you load the map

If I were you, I'd get rid of the download you have, redownload it again with utorrent, let it finish the dl and get to 100%. once that's done, make sure you install the maps correctly (I don't know for sure, so ask someone it's working for).

Once installed, make sure you aren't using anything that uses your internet bandwidth such as IM programs, webb browser, or the utorrent program. Shut it off by right clicking the icon then exit.

And try to enter the map again.

If it doesn't work I'm not sure.

That's always a good read.

Either way, I wouldn't know for certain since I didn't download these myself.
