The 'I'm bored' call can be meant in many ways. Some are trying to stir up trouble, some are simply expressing a fact, some are explaining something and some just want people to know they are there. I know many are just being slightly insensitive, and not intending to hurt feelings - they are, simply, bored.

But the reason I personally don't like people saying this is because it hurt's the leaders/creators feelings. The message I get is 'Oh, your RP is bad, it can't even keep me entertained'. Now, most people don't actually mean this at all! But the underlying implications can really hurt someone's feelings, and their confidence. Some are unaffected of course - but how can you know if you've hurt someone or not? We are on the internet, you see. I think it's just better to phrase is 'Do you wanna do _______ now? :D' and not risk being rude.

Well, when I joined right at the start, I didn't understand the portals... and I also managed to press 'C' very early on, which meant that the chat box didn't show. So that was fun.

The WASD thing wasn't new to me, but I didn't think to use it - the camera altering thing was REALLY hard for my one-track mind to grasp, too. I couldn't press both the arrow keys and WASD, so I was always running at odd angles to the camera. X'D

Didn't understand the 'M' (Male) and 'F' (Female) thing either... LOL. I would just stick those two letters randomly after my names because I thought it was cool. Must of confused quite a few people. X'D

Also had to panic and close the game MANY TIMES because I got stuck in f3, or pressed Q.

I was also quite scared of the internet people, so I'd just sit awkwardly by them (Didn't know of SB) and listen in. X'D
(Some were quite nice about my obvious noobishness)

That's all I can think of.

It's very nice, Mojave, and I do believe Stray looks amazing! Pixel art is something I, too, have not attempted - not animation! I love the blinking effect seen in the icon itself. cx +floof

Aye, (punspunspuns) I tend to bring some of the 'RP' into my usual OOC speak. I'll do the 'y'all' or the ''bout' as well. I do have an accent irl, but I'm sure I don't sound like how I type.

I don't think it's so much a/your 'voice' when you use RP terminology - more a habit.

We do things like...

*snarls*
*grabby paws*
*hisses*

...As well, or at least I do and many of those I have met do likewise. This is not something I do irl (ornotoftenanywaydontjudge).

It CAN get annoying when someone's OOC speak is full of an IC-like tendency. But honestly, I don't think it's a voice so much as habit, even a subconscious urge to practise for when IC times occur.
