Life in the Neighbourhood: Cat & Dog Roleplay.
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:55:06 pm »
About the Roleplay.

This little Roleplay takes place in quite a sunny yet wealthy place in England. Yes, England has sun also, it's surprising I know. But this Roleplay's focus is not on humans, wealth or the weather, no. But it is indeed based on their most trusty companions. The cats and the dogs. However, not all cats and dogs have the company of a human being. Infact, there are quite a lot of lonesome cats and dogs out there on the streets. Many homless cats and dogs are found inplaces such as;
Alleys, Junk yards, Dog Kennels, The pound, Local dog park, the abandoned house..etc...

However, leashed cats and dogs are usually found in places like the following;
The Local Dog Park, The "Paw to Paw" Cat & Dog hotel, Warm and comfortable Houses, The pond, The Pound, The Pet store, "Cat and Dog training center"..etc..

About the Dogs.
You may either have the option to be either a street dog or a house pet. In this case, if you was to be a house dog then you would be well groomed, fed and cared for. On the other hand, street dogs are the total opposite. Street dogs are often starved, pushed aside, smelly and not really cared for all that much. They would be extremely lucky to have even one person in the neighbourhood feed them scraps. Unfortunately in England quite a few dog breeds are banned, the breeds include:

? Pit Bull Terriers
? Japanese Tosas
? Dogo Argentinos
? Fila Brazilieros

About the Cats.
In this Roleplay, the cats are quite like the dogs. You may either have the option to be either an ally cat or a house cat. For example, if you was to be a house cat then you would be well groomed, fed and cared for. Alternatively, Ally cats are often starved, kicked away, smelly and prone to illnesses. They would be extremely lucky to have even one person in the neighbourhood feed them scraps like dogs are most likely to receive.

Dog Ranks.

Top neighbourhood Dog(s) - This rank is the most important or all the dog ranks in this neighbourhood. The top neighbourhood dog(s) are most likely to keep an eye on things, they are free to be unleashed to visit other neighbourhood dogs and are great leaders throughout. This rank is not an optional rank, you can either earn your position to this rank given by  the Top Dogs. Or you can be born into it like royalty.
Top Dogs: Honey (Top Dog Leader) - [Not Optional]

Other Top Dogs will be chosen by Honey as we go through the role-play. Other Top dogs will be chosen by Top Dog leaders only. (with discussion).

Affiliate House Dog - This is a pretty normal Rank. An Affiliate House Dog is just a member of the neighbourhood. Basically another house dog but with the ability to do what ever as you may as long as its within the rules and guidelines of the role-play. They must stay clear from new faces of the neighbourhood unless permissioned from the Top Dog Leader.
  Members of this group: [Empty]

Puppies - The puppies are the ones which are bought by the humans or are offspring of other dogs within the neighbourhood. All pups must stay inside accompanied by at least one parent for 7 weeks (7 irl days). If you are joining the role-play as a puppy you must be 7 weeks old. You may move to a different rank at 8 weeks (8 irl days) please inform BigBangTheory about your rank change.
Members of this group: Curtis, [Available]

Street Dog - Street dog's are not always friendly. Many are from other neighbourhoods or from far away places. As always, Street dogs must obey the top dogs at all times if spotted doing something out of hand, even though they're not on a leash doesn't mean they don't follow the rules.
  Members of this group: [Empty]

Outcasts - Outcasts are the wonderers of the roleplay, they are quite like the "newbies" of the street life. Outcasts must have had something happen for them to be outcasts, you cannot join the role-play as an outcast. Usually things like; neglect, abandonment, escape or something else causes a dog to want to be an outcast.

Cat Ranks.

Top Neighborhood Cat(s) - This rank is the most important of all possible cat ranks in this role-play. The top neighbourhood cat(s) are most likely to keep an eye on things like the dogs do, they are free to be unleashed to visit other neighbourhood dogs and are great leaders throughout their species. This rank is not an optional rank, you can either earn your position to this rank given by  the Top Dogs. Or you can be born into it like "family".

They must stay clear from new faces of the neighbourhood unless permissioned from the Top Cat Leader.

Kittens - Kittens are the ones which are bought and/or by the humans or are offspring of other cats within the neighbourhood. All kittens must stay inside accompanied by at least one parent for 8 weeks (8 irl days). If you are joining the role-play as a kitten you must be 8 weeks old or older. You may move to a different rank at 9 weeks (9 irl days) please inform BigBangTheory about your rank change.

Alley Cats - Like outcasts, Alley cats have little food, care and luxury on the streets, they are also the wonderers of the roleplay. They get to see exciting things, do something new every day, cause trouble and plenty of other things as long as they don't get caught by the top cats that is.

Character name: Honey
I am a: Dog
Gender: Female/Bitch
My Breed is: Golden Retriever
Accepted/Current Rank: Top Dog Leader
Character Biography: Honey is a open hearted female and the most trusted dog in the neighbourhood. She is also a strong girl. A leader, very smart and a hard-worker. She also achieves big goals, and she achieves many of her dreams. However, she is definitely not girly or into frills or any of that stuff, and Honey is proud of it. She is more of the "loose collared" kinda retriever. Personality wise, she is fun, sociable and sensible, she will never let her guard down and is most likely the role-model of the neighbourhood.

Appearance:

Your in-game username: BigBangTheory
Character name: Curtis
I am a: Dog
Gender: Male
My Breed is: Alsatian
Accepted/Current Rank: Puppy
Character Biography: Curtis has a well proportioned and very strong breed. He has a sturdy, muscular, slightly elongated body with a light, solid bone structure, even for a puppy. He is considered versatile, curious, energetic, very intelligent, stable, easily distracted completely fearless when it comes to protecting his loved ones. He does not readily befriend strangers, but make lifelong friends for their owners. In turn, Curtis has strong emotional needs and constantly seek human attention. Though he is a street dog, he does crave human attention.

Weekly plot:

It's that time of year when the snow lashes from America and travels it's way down to England, everything is covered with a blanket of snow and it has affected many people and pets badly. In this case the survival of the homeless cats and dogs is in grave danger if they do not find some place warm to rest as winter is upon the neighbourhood. The lake has frozen over in the park which seems to make a fun ice rink for people and pets.
