.:: S T O R Y - L I N E ::.

Spring fever, the bitter sweet months of love and renewal. Trees begin to breathe once again, releasing flocks of birds that soar among the open clouds. A tease of sunshine casts the warmth of spring to the soil once again. The creeks and lakes for miles crack in excitement as the ice melts. The season calls for many different forms of life to roam the plains once again. Herds are forming, and love is certainly in the air, for now. Spring is not only a signal of new life, but also new struggle. More blood baths emerge from testosterone-filled stallions, more territory to fight for, and more predators to protect yourself from.

There are two main herds in the valleys, neither in particular are good nor evil. They however, unfortunately, dislike one another a great deal. The long story holds back many decades before. The two herds were once strongly bonded as one. It all happened when the lead stallion Konaan was tragically killed by what seemed to be a 'cougar.' That is of course what his son, Ace, had said, soon after he rushed back to the herd in 'panic.' He crowded around, his twin brother Spade running up to his side, he had announced that Konaan had been attacked by a cougar. Spade hadn't believed a word, he was always able to tell when his brother had something to hide. Soon after, Spade and Ace were up in line, crowned as the lead stallions. Spade denied it, and along with a few of his followers, he ran away, forming a herd of his own away from Ace. Since then, the mystery still remains, but the two herds both know the history, and refuse to like one another. [ Code word is; Red apple, this will make sense once you read the rules. ]

So, as the twin brother's names go, The herd names are 'Ace' and 'Spade.'

The Ace herd remains very closely to the forest, often they are deep in the heart of it, where a small meadow inhabited by a creek makes home for them. The Aces are extremely clever, they have to learn to swerve through treeline after treeline, and must be very athletic and agile for this. Over the years, these horses have gained muscle and endurance, and stand very strong. It is very rare that you will see them closer towards the mountains, unless there is a scarce amount of food close to home lands. [mostly during winter.]

The Spades remain tucked in a valley, where a powerful river comes through down the rigid mountains and into a lake, the land around it is wide open, but is separated from the forest by a huge valley of mountain, only small and treacherous trails can get you from the forest to the open meadow in the valley. This place is a very big area for mountain lions and wolves, in which the Spades have gained high awareness. They outsmart the predators very often, and have formed a larger sized bodice throughout the years. The Spades are rather large, and often use their size against predator, and the bigger, the better to see around you.

--

You are either in the Ace herd, or the Spades herd.
It is spring time and love fever is in the air, This is almost like Hatfield and McCoy, the herds are slowly navigating [unknowingly] towards each other. Who knows, maybe something will bring the two herds together, whether it be love, or fighting it out, we'll find out.

" So long ago I don't remember when, That's when they say I lost my one and only F R I E N D."

Name || Tamaar
Prefers || Mara
Gender || Female/Mare
Breed || Unknown
Age || Four
Ethnicity || Ukrainian/French
Religion || Christian
----------------------------------------------------------

Tamaar is looked at as a big part of the Spades, maybe because they rely on her duty as lead mare. She is young, but has much to offer as a leader. She has kept the herd going for a year, and they thrive better than many years beforehand.

She is often quite, ore 'mute' as many would say. She only ever speaks subtle and short words. Her actions speak much greater than her words, she learns to connect with others through action, because the terrain she inhabits also homes many predators, the less noise, the better. She thinks very cleverly, and always second guesses every one of her decisions. She is particular about her promises, and keeps them every time. Many look up to her honesty and bravery. She was born into the herd, and after her mother, she took the throne as queen. This herd is led by her, and only her, no stallion's assistance needed.

"Do not die in vain. If you're going to die, die for something like your father did. He died for you!"

Name | Abbacus

Goes By | Abbacus, Ab, Abbus (nicknames)

Gender | Stallion

Breed | Mustang

Age | 4 years old

Personality | Abbacus is a stubborn horse who often talks bitterly, not really caring if he hurts someones feelings-if its relevant to him to won't keep him trap shut. This stallion has a short temper and is prone to snap when provoked even at the slightest, being brought up by one of few large stallions he has taken his father trait and is one of the largest horses in his herd-this being an advantage especially for his surroundings. At times Abbus will taunt other horses and will often annoy themn even though he's joking some see him as over confident but that's not true he just likes to tease. Although Abbacus isn't very playful he does love playfighting and racing with other horses of his herd. Yes, like most stallions he is flirty and stubborn mostly in competition with other males-although he tends to sit back and keep it cool.
History |Herd | As a foal Abbacus lived in his fathers herd, a beautiful pinto Stallion he was-large in size also, his mother a pure white Mare. Abb spend everyday with his father training and getting prepared for the future he loved his family and the herd. Kamikaze was the perfect role model for his son and he would soon take his fathers place, but it soon happened. One day the herd was on the move from a group of humans who ventured to close, but the colt was cornered off from the herd and lead a seperate way where he went through the mountains and into Cougar territory. Although he appears to have an outgoing and bitter personality since witnessing his fathers death Abbacus is actually pretty shy, bossy and kind.

Although he was scared Abbacus remembered what his father said and dared to show his fear as the two large cats quickly followed the youngsters scents. Abb done what he could to try and fight them off but was knocked to the ground-then a shadow hovered over him. His father. Scrambling to his hooves Abbacus watched from wedged in a bush. Right infront of his eyes the foal watched his father be brutally murdered trying to save him. A day later Abbus returned to the herd but another stallion Colinao had took over and banished the young foal from the herd. His mother being pulled away.

Ever since he had wondered alone through the mountains until coming across a herd known as 'Spades Herd' as they said, forunately they allowed the colt in and ever since he has stuck with them. Living up to his fathers standards and taking after his belovid father.

Name | Nevaeh

Goes By | Nea, Nev, Hev

Gender | Mare

Breed | Mustang

Age | 3 years old

Personality | Unlike most mares Nevaeh is outgoing and rather boysterous, you'll often see this grey mare grazing or running around with the other horses-despite sometimes being guiet many see this as a moment of peace from this outgoing young filly. Nea doesn't really have a short temper and is more tolerant than most but she will say what she wants if she wants. This wild Brumby prefers to follow rules rather than make them but she does often test the leaders patients now and then. Yes, Nevah is an adventurous horse who loves being on the move. All in all Nevaeh is an energetic young horse who meand good really and tried although she can be annoying.

History |Herd | Nevaeh had once been owned by humans. Many don't believe her because of the wild blood this mare has surfing her veins but its true. She can't really remember how it happened but she woke up in a caged in area surrounded by humans and near other horses. Her training seemed to start straight away trying to domesticate the young foal, but it didn't go to plan. They kept Nevaeh in for atleast a year until they came to the decision to let the foal go.

Knowing they couldn't tame the wild flame in the grey equine the humans released her into a herd in the forest and ofcourse it didn't take long for her to venture into the herd. Quickly being accepted she has remained in the herd a year and sure this tom-boy ha fitted in fine.

Name |Saturn VI
Goes By |Titan
Gender |Stallion
Breed |Andalusian
Age |Seven years.

Personality | Cobalt is a fiery yet mature male, and knows his place in the world quite well. His personality is gathered truly in his past experiences, but is ashamed of what had happened to him, and so it's locked up tightly in his mind. There are two main point's in his personal life that I might as well point out.

Well mannered: Cobalt  is a very well mannered stallion and always want's other horses to feel comfortable in his presence. Although at times he may be a bit fiery and less of courteous stallion, especially when in the presence of stallions during the breeding season.

Trustworthy: You can trust Cobalt with anything. From wandering in dangerous places, to keeping a relationship safe, you can trust this sturdy steed. He may be, on the odd occasion, a little over protective, but this was a trait he had gained from his father. He would protect other horses with his life. Continuing, Relationships always bloom with Cobalt. He always makes friends, mares, stallions and foals alike.

History |Titan was the fifth Saturn to be named on his family tree, thus being nicknamed Titan. He was born within the Spades herd and had to immediately be up and on his feet to prevent himself from being mauled to death from the many predators in the area. Thru-out his juvenile life, he was constantly on guard, despite his mothers and fathers protection. His father was not like most stallions; mate a mare and move on. He stuck by his mates side thru-out Titans foal hood and protected Titans mother from the testosterone filled stallions that had no care for Titans welfare or needs. After two years, Titan was lifted from his parents protection.

For several years, the stallion was working around the herd, mostly away from the heart of it to track for any predators in the area. After hundreds of encounters with deadly animals, the sharp teeth and claws of those that wish to cause harm never scare him like they did when he was a young colt.

When the breeding seasons came, Titan failed to bear any foals because of the fierce competition with his fellow stallions. But despite this, Titan is set to be 'Top Dog' when he is being pushed back by the competition this year.
Herd | Spades
Appearance | Titan is solid black except for a little white snip on his forehead. He is approximately 16.4hh and weighs 1,160 pounds. The stallion is a strong build with powerful muscles he has earned by working hard. His eyes are a deep brown, like his mothers and are always shining brightly.

Nevaeh

"Your feeling nervous, having your doubts. Don't be embarrassed if you don't fit in the crowd. Keep standing tall and hold your ground. Show them its not okay to let them kick you down.."

A light breeze blew through the restless mares mane as she law sprawled across the muddy ground-her head pressed against the ground as a snort flared past her nostrils. How she loved spring, all the flowers begin to bloom, the birds sung their songs but for some reason Nev loved the fights. Although she didn't understand why they had to be so fierce she just liked them. Rolling over the dapple grey mare gave her head a brisk shake releasing her mane of dust. Letting a grunt rumble through her throat the large mare lifted to her sturdy hooves.

Taking a glance around at the herd she shrugged, her back twitched from the prescence of a fly causing her to shake her full body-which also got rid of the grains of dry dirt that had stuck to her pelt. Regaining her footing the tom-boy looked around once again, her eyes narrowed in attempt to block out atleast some of the sunlight. It was early morning and it was quickly heating up, but the light breeze relieved the mare. Letting out a quiet neight Nevaeh began to graze.

Abbacus

"Do not die in vainif you're going to die, die for something like your father did. He died for you.."

Abbacus had been awake for a while now and as usual he had wondered off on his usual morning walk, this always seemed to relax the stallion and allow him to clear his thoughts-but this was also something he would do with his father every morning and midnight. As he drew nearer to the al familiar river that ran through the mountains he looked down at the clear water, his reflection shining through. A smile grew across his face, he looked so much like his father except his father had darker brown markinks-the white flowers reminding him of his mother. Giving his head a brisk shake she stopped.

Now standing carefully in the fresh flowing water the coolness caused a shiver to run up the steeds spine, it was just what he needed in this scolding weather. Blicking his bi-coloured mane out of his face Abb craned down his neck allowing his tongue to slide into the refreshing liquid. Taking a few sips he lifted his head. Lifting his large cream hoof Abbacus slammed it into the water, causing many drops to splatter onto his hot coat.

Soon enough the large equine had returned to the now awake herd, dropping his head as a "Hello" to his many herd mates. Hooves thudded against the ground in an even rhythm before coming to a sudden halt not to far from the herd-his eyes locked on the distance as he kept an eye out for danger. His father had always told him to protect his herd as they are family.

Name | Roman

Goes By | Roman, no one has made up one yet.

Gender | He is a Stallion

Breed | Thoroughbred

Age | 14 Years

Personality | Roman is one of those horses who are quite playful and dangerous. He doesn't care about the results just what is going on that very moment. He would risk his life for his herd, but the herd probably wont do it for him. He can be a bit silly, and acts before he thinks, but it was just the way he was raised. He can be really annoying! But normally he is quite quiet, until you start talking to him. He is mostly always hyper, and loves to buck and rear around, galloping along the fields. Sometimes his actions can cause to injuries, or horses not liking him, or something worse. Really, he just acts like a big foal. But above all that he is a strong creature, and normally never looses in the 'breeding season.' Although most mares don't want him. He will protect his friends, like they were a magical horse that came from the heavens, he will protect you with his life. Most people know him as a trustworthy Thoroughbred, and know that he would never let anyones secrets slip out of his mouth. He will keep his word even if it means a dangerous quest, a naughty act, or a silly thing. If you need someone who you can trust, it is this guy.

History | Roman was born outside the herds, with his mother and her herd. He was an only foal, as most horses don't have twins or triplets. His dad, Archer, left straight away, not bothering to help the mother look after the already weak foal. His mother, Naomi looked after him and guarded him from anything that caused him a bit of disturbance. I guess thats how Roman got his protective trait. And he must of got his stupid trait from his dad as he ran away. Anyway, it was lucky that it was a rather nice, warm spring because Roman was about to collapse and die. His mother let him graze extra, and still suckle when he was a bit to old for it. She tried everything to fatten him up, and it slowly started to work. He was getting much better, and had the energy to gallop around and buck and buck and buck. He gained strength quick, messing around with the other foals.

When he was only a yearling, his mother started to talk to him about starting his own herd, or joining one. She said Roman had one more year with the herd he was in, then he had to leave and find his own.. So he made the last year his best, looking after his mother and playing with the new foals and his yearling friends. But it went quick, and the year was over... He was now two years old. It was time..

After months of searching he found a herd, with friendly horses who welcomed him nicely. He settled down in the herd, and he still thinks of his mother, but he loves his herd as much as his old one. He would do anything for them.

Herd | Spades

Appearance | Roman is a bay colour with a white blaze running down from his forehead to soft, pink and black nose. He has bay legs slowly fading into a black colour, then on his front right leg he has white stocking that don't appear on any of his other legs. He has greyish coloured hooves, which are dirty and muddy, but he doesn't really mind. His mane is a nice dark colour along with his tail. He has a nicely built body which most of the mares like, but he has to keep up with the shape with his exercise, which he does easily by his hyperness! He has a blue wall eye and the other one is a nice brown eye.
