"Welcome home, Cosmo!!"

Those words made the large-eared creature instantly turn around, seeing a familiar black hen running towards her, tears in her eyes.

"Henrietta!" Cosmo screeched, bursting into tears of joy and rushing to her friend.

They collided in a giant hug, Henrietta's tears soaking into Cosmo's shoulder and the Fusior's own soaking into the hen's.

"I've missed you." Henrietta sighed, "It's been terrible without you here."

Cosmo let the hug go, staring into her friend's sad eyes.

"I know, my dear." She replied, ears falling back, "I'm so sorry about Josephina."

Henrietta's tears sprung up again at the mention of the young hen, who had died while Cosmo was gone.

"I miss her."

"I know." Cosmo reached forwards and pulled the hen into another hug, tears soaking into the hen's shiny black feathers, "But I'm back, and I'm never leaving again."

"Please don't..." Henrietta sobbed.

Cosmo's grip became tighter, and she breathed deeply for a second.


"My dear," She sang, "I know it's hard for you,

I know you were close,

and now she's gone...

But don't you fear,

I'm still here...

I won't leave you alone,

I'm going to stay with you,

Forever...

Don't you fear,

I'm still here...

I'm still here...

And I won't leave you again..."


Henrietta looked up, face dripping with tears. "Promise?" she asked faintly.

Cosmo nodded.


"Promise."
