Items won't work

I tried to download the items from here, but all they did was lead to Adfly and fake installations, so I had to go onto a youtube video to find them (they are the recent ones too).
The markings work, but for some reason the items won't work. I've redownloaded 4 times already, each time doing something different just to see if it would work.
So far, it's just the basic ones you would get if you didn't download items.
Any way I can fix this? No clue if I somehow messed something up...

What item pack are you using? Legendary's download is a bit tricky since I believe it's been removed but also posted by those who have the files/download link.

Also, double check you've placed the pack's items.cfg in the FeralHeart folder if they're not showing up in the list in game. I suggest a backup of the original items.cfg just in case.

I'm using Legendary Items v4.3
I basically did it the same way I did markings, I followed the video I found the marks/items on for both of them (I always feel I would mess up, so following instructions is a must).

Could you open up the items.cfg currently in your FeralHeart folder after attempting to download and copy and paste it here? Perhaps mark it with spoilers if you can, it should be pretty long.

I'm not capable of pasting it, trying to open it won't work (but the markings.cfg is like that too.. also it says I have 3 markings.cfg).

Yeah that's definitely something with the .cfg then. You should be able to open it in notepad.

Also, you only should have one of each .cfg in the main folder. Backups are good as long as you change the original's name, but you should probably delete the one(s) you don't need.

Lastly, try changing the permissions by right clicking the FeralHeart folder, clicking properties, security, and then allow everything full control. It could be a permission problem causing either FeralHeart to not see the items and/or not allowing you to do much to the files.

I had to adjust some stuff and it allowed me to open it in Notepad now.
However I don't know how to do spoilers? I tried doing it on a post I have and it didn't work, so no clue if FH's forums does it differently.
I also did the full control like you said but it didn't change a thing, the items aren't appearing still.

Yeah, I swear I've seen people use spoilers but maybe you can't and I'm wrong. Just copy and paste the content in the items.cfg as normal then.

No worries, I went to sleep too.

Everything looks fine MAYBE other than the lack of a line break between items. You could try spacing the first of them out and seeing if they get put in the game?

Also, have you ran the game itself as an administrator? Even with the changed permissions, it could change something.
