Human & Humanoid Roleplays / Re: Complete WIP. Don't post, please

Rules
1
All FH rules apply
Follow these and we'll get along fine
2
No Mary/Gary Sues/Stus. No Powerplaying. No Godmodding
Pretty simple, pretty clear. You all should know what these terms mean, and to keep your characters out of it
3
Canon characters only
Okay, it might seem unfair, but for now I'm limiting this to canon characters alone, mostly so that the OCs don't outnumber the canons because I'm allowing a few in (special-case scenarios, as I call them). A character you roleplay picked out already? There are tens of thousands more out there, woman up and choose another. If you really can't roleplay a canon character and would still like to join, please PM me with  the form filled out for your OC. I'll give you a few added rules for OCs if you're accepted, and you'll be good to go.
4
Ships
Lemme brush over a few things here.
Official ships are not to be overruled. They can be ignored, but not overruled.
Any non-official ship can only be shipped as long as both parties agree to it.
No bashing ships, period.
The last one if a permanent kick from the roleplay. Because there's something called respect, people, and we need to use it.
5
Not a romance-oriented roleplay
Romance is a minor thing. This is fantasy, mystery, and adventure (well, there are woods out there, and the fresh food isn't replaced regularly. You're gonna have to go haunting soon enough). As we all know characters are prone to developing love interests over time, yadayada, but it's not all ooey-gooey smooshy in here. There are problems which need to be settled before love, such as why they're there anyways. So take any romance things, and either;
1: Cut off the source problem, or at least minimize it.
2: Don't. Just don't.
Also, no children between two characters unless the child is canon. If the child isn't 100% confirmed by the creator of the series, don't.
6
Concerning the plot
Your character does not have to be officially dead to join. This roleplay does have various different worlds coexisting, something you'll delve deeper into later. If you want to know more about this, take a peek at Umineko and Higurashi, because they're the reasons behind the idea of this.
Also, if you beg for more of the plot, I will punt you into the sun. You get the plot when you get the plot. Bother me with it, and I might just hold it off even longer as a punishment, and that's obviously going to be unfair to others.
7
Killing/Injuring
You may not automatically hit a character unless it is a move decided between the two fighting beforehand, nor may you kill off a character.
8
Electronics
Every character gets a phone. The phone is updated automatically with the contact of each person to be stranded, whether it's wanted or not. The phone you get is black in color, and the type of the phone is up to you.
9
Character limit
You get three characters, and can replace one if one dies.
10
Swearing/slurs
Okay, this is a big one, even for myself, at least in the former category.
Slurs are not allowed here, and neither are any F-bombs. Any curses truly related to the F-bomb in severity and 'nono'-ness are instantly included into the F-bomb category. If you really can't hold your character back, then place a single dash over the area of the intended bomb or slur. Our minds can put to work the rest.
You may not use this outside of roleplay, however, and if I catch you, you will be instantly booted from the roleplay.
More to be added and/or edited. Check back daily!
Did you notice anything off about one of the words in the rules? That's your key word. Be sure to delete it after you've been accepted, and replace it with whatever word you'd like.

Yes, I did. I finally gave this thing the bigbig update. the final update. And you'd better be proud of me. This is the best plot I've thought up of that doesn't totally require knowledge of When They Cry and gives me time to set in place 'Acts' for the roleplay. About section will be updated as Acts come and go.

About
The workings of the roleplay and what's known of the plot

Your character has ended up in an unfamiliar place after their death, for unexplained reasons. As time passes by, more people will come, and the number of cabins will increase. No one knows why they're there, or, if they do, they're keeping quiet about it and feigning innocence. No matter the reason they're there, though, they've got electricity, running water, and fresh food. Some can call this magic, others can try to find an answer, but the truth of the matter is that they're stuck there, and they all need to rely on each other to survive.
Embrace the happiness while it's here, you might as well say, because one way or another, a storm's coming to shake this earth to it's core.

Any characters from a book, manga, anime, or animated series/movie is accepted into this roleplay!
Characters may be accepted if in video games or other sources.
Characters may be declined regardless.
May accept non-humanoid characters depending on series and other variables.
See rules for more information

(Guys i promise, this is the last change. Ipromise.)

The soft, inviting sounds of birds reached your ears in the abyss of... where ever. Huh. You were pretty sure the afterlife wouldn't have birds at all. Then again, you'd been floating aimlessly, in a place that looked oh-so-similar to the universe for a while now. Long enough that you were pretty sure that the chances of wind hitting you, or ever having skin to feel said wind, was far out of reach. And yet you felt it. You heard it, too, the soft gust of wind inviting you from your sleep. Speaking of which... Wasn't Purgatory or whatever it was called notably lighter... and less red-shaded? Did you have eyelids to open? Cautiously, you tested out the ability, only to the greeted with harsh sunlight and clear blue skies. In the corner of your vision, you could catch the sight of branches, filled with emerald leaves, moving along with the wind.
The slight sensation of grass and soil beneath your hands confirmed that you laid on green grass. The sweet aroma of flowers could be detected in the air. By now, curiousity had gotten the better of you, and you pushed up off the ground, bringing your legs to your side as you sat up. The area around you happened to be a woodland. This nailed down the chirps you'd heard as non-threatening species of birds, but there were probably wild animals which lurked within the woodlands as well. To the west, off in the distance, if you peered closely, you could probably see a few wooden cabins. To the east; a clearing, where wildflowers grew in abundance. To the north and south; more woodlands, but you could conclude that a water source existed nearby, otherwise people wouldn't have built cabins there. Checking out those cabins seemed like a good idea, but there could also be danger. Then again, the whole land seemed to radiate mystery and danger, and going off to that peaceful-looking flower field seemed nice as well.

So, what will you pick first? The cabin, or the field? Either way, you're bound to meet up with someone at some point.

Name: Kalea
Books Read: Up to Frost Wolf. I've read about the other two, however
Character Age: 2 years
Personality: A grumpy, snappy little thing. She's often shooing away as many wolves as she can from her work, even if it's the leader. She takes great pride in her potions and remedies, but isn't too vain. She can be caring and sweet at times, and despite the grouchy image that comes across her, often does take caution for little ones.
Mate: Not looking
Crush: None
Pup(s): None
Rank: Sark
Deformity(If Gnaw Wolf): Not a Gnaw Wolf, but her hind right paw is crooked and looks odd overall. It's from where her paw broke as a pup due to a stupid thing she was doing, it never healed correctly.
Other: She's actually quick on her feet, having learned how to land on her crooked paw and operate with it.

As the same is Kiaz, it's extremely upsetting you've lost all your hard work to the infernal hard drive's death. It's not going to be easy, getting back up on your feet, and if I had a credit or debit card, all the money I have at the minute would be sent directly to you.
Even if you do not get the needed support to get back everything for Feralheart+ (Which is still upsetting. You were almost finished, and then just... poof. Everything's gone) something is indeed better than nothing, and no doubt any funds you gain to get back Feralheart+ in this case will be used wisely. The TLK MMO seems extremely exciting, so at the least we still have something to look forward to, in the case Feralheart+ cannot be recovered. It's always best people look on the bright side, for even if something bad seems about, something good will always be around the corner. I just hope you always shoot for the moon, for even if you do not reach it, you'll land among the brightest of stars.
With this, I wish you the best of luck for both games.
Sincerely,
Iceheart999/~Pacific Rim~/Gipsy Danger

Game Discussion / Re: Human Roleplays In-Game
« on: September 05, 2014, 04:49:39 am »
I, personally, role-play humans - practically - twenty-four-seven; I have more than eighteen of them.
Now, I don't use the "human" markings that others would use; I use the markings that I find attractive and pretty to me - I also use any color, too.
Take Lucas ans Wolfie (Wolfie being my avatar and Lucas being my siggy). Believe it or not, they're both humans. Wolfie has the default "Bubbles" for the body, "SpottedHyena" for the face, and the "HighRing" for her tail. Lucas has MM (can't remember which ones, though), and they both don't look like humans, but I role-play as them.
And, TwistedLizard, Wolfie doesn't know how to use a gun - nor does she have powers, she's a normal being. And Lucas is a SnK OC of mine, he knows how to use his 3DMG and his only "power" is him being a titanshifter (though, he's currently not aware of it).

They are both white - though Lucas is technically half-Spanish - because I'm white and I mainly see white people - I'm not even trying to be racist, it's just common for me to see. I know that role-playing tries to make new experiences with you, but you can't just experience it without it being physically in front of you.
Maybe it's just me, though.
-Wolfie
Hey, Wolfie! *Waving*

But, i have to agree with most of Wolfie here.

Along with dragons, Humans are also something I commonly roleplay. I personally have three myself, one of them being a WIP. I'll touch dragons in another thread, of course, but for now onto the main subject!

I have Rosalva Arce, Yeva Monore, and Estelle Sonnen. Each of them has a marking set that, not only resembles hair or clothing color, but also personality.

For instance, Rosalva has Corgi for body and Raccoon for head (Both MM3 markings). Corgi has a soft, subtle feeling to it, representing a calm outlook on the world and a kind interior. Raccoon represents the cold and uncaring exterior put up around her in two ways. It's actually quite jagged, not fading into wisps like say the German Shepard face marking. The raccoon 'mask' is, of course, that uncaring mask. It can also be used to represent her past, which she is skillful in keeping hidden. Her tail markings I don't remember, but I think they represented her rank within the Shatterdome. Rosy is a Ranger, or Jaeger Pilot. She isn't called into action as often as you'd think, and outside of the Drift the only 'power' she has is the leftover link to her partner from the Drift itself, A.K.A. Ghost-Drifting.

Yeva has no powers, unless you count excellent tree-climbing as one. Then again, she has an oak in her backyard she's used to climbing.

Estelle is the WIP, and is an SnK OC. The only thing I think she knows how to do is use her 3DMG.

As with Wolfie, I'm not racist, just not used to roleplaying people of other colors (Rosy has spanish bloodlines and Yeva has French and Russian, I believe). It all depends on the person's abilities and experience with what and/or who they roleplay, anyways.

Game Discussion / Re: Death to the Parents?
« on: September 05, 2014, 04:14:10 am »
The normal 'i killed my parents' or 'my parents were killed' is, as stated, a normal excuse for people to not have parents at all. I myself honestly have one character I can name off the top of my head at the moment who has no known blood relatives.

Rosalva Arce, one of my PR fancharacters.

Yeah, yeah, she's a human, she shouldn't get a voice in this, shut it. Rosy did what any kid her age (14) with  reasonable mind would've done in the event of a huge monster attack and being home alone. She fled on foot. The other bits of her family were caught in the attack on San Fransisco, be it falling buildings, fires, or getting trapped, and did not make it out. Rosy managed to get out because she ran. She dumped out her bookbag, grabbed some non-refrigerated food and one bottle of water, maybe a few memoirs and a change of clothes and took to fleeing on foot. She barely got out with the backpack and the clothes on her back, but she made it out. Rosy made it out by pure luck, and that is why she's managed to be here today. Even though she has adopted parents nowadays, she doesn't live with them, or barely even has a connection to them. Along with the 'barely' status, her talk on her past. Of course, she has good reason, and I wouldn't blame her for keeping silent.

Comparing the pups stories of 'i killed them all' or Rosy's brush with death, it's obvious the latter is the choice of go for a dosage of realism in such an event (Though I wouldn't expect an attack by a godzilla-sized monster anytime soon). Rosy is the only character of mine who has a story like this (Yeva, my other PR fancharacter, lives in Florida) and I plan to keep it that way.

Kalliope

The warmth from the sun was, in a sense, something to be grateful for. It came from the rays of light the sun emitted, keeping most things from the cold of night for half a year, usually. It came in with the Spring equinox, and disappeared during the Autumn equinox. Certainly, in a way, it was strange, but ever so needed. Admittedly, though, it was easier to get warm during winter than it was to get cool in summer, thus the preference of the colder region, which was rather funny considering Kalliope's colors consisted of those which existed on the 'cool' side of the color wheel. Ah, yes. Humans were considerably strange like that. They had a name for almost everything. Letting out a huff of air at the thought, the shifter leaned back against the tree she currently sat in front of- or behind of, considering the direction of the city was behind her. Straying past city limits was, definitely, not fun, especially considered the choice of clothing she had. Luckily, today she had gone with the other choice. At the same time, however, it wasn't good either. At least when you considered the 'shrunk-to-fit', lizard-like tail which currently curled into her lap. Good and bad came out of whichever choice you made. There was no alternative, no rewinding time to save someone and send the other to his or her doom. Choices could seem simple at first, yes, but in the end, it you choose one and regret it, you'd never forgive yourself. She could no regret whichever choice she made. Steal and live, or starve? There were good and bad choices with each, however, one outweighed the other by a long shot.
The slight breeze that passed by, almost as if reminding her of the season coming, blew any bangs that decided to try to block her vision out of her face. The rustling of grass filled her ears, and for a moment, she took in the serenity. So... this was the choice she made? ...Well, now that she thought about it, she could always have waited until tomorrow. Now that she was here, though, she didn't think her stomach would allow her to leave empty-handed. All, no nothing, as some might call it.
"This again...? You'll get yourself a reputation at this rate." She shook her head after speaking, almost as if disappointed in herself. To continue this, which started from a young age in order to feed two hungry muzzles. Her parents would be as  disappointed of her as she was, that is, if they weren't like her. Her siblings would outright hand her over to the authorities, at least nowadays they would. A sigh exited her mouth as she rose to her feet, tail slipping from it's place on her lap and onto hanging limply behind her. The sound of her stomach protesting barely made it to her ears and despite the fact it could be felt, it was purposefully ignored. She turned, beginning to walk around the tree.
So this is the choice I make. No going back now.
