The Labs (DNA/Gifted Roleplay Accepting)

Is there such thing as heroes?  The kind with superpowers that swoop in to safe the day?  Yes and no.  Yes there are people with powers, no they are not heroes.  Their lab rats, being tested on to see their strengths and weaknesses.  They are not considered human beings and have no rights.  They are known as the Gifted.  Each one has their own power they were born with.  Along with them are other creatures illegally created from normal humans.  They have a normal human body but also have parts of animals, wings, paws, fur and other bits.  They are called DNAs.  They kidnapped and people believe they ran away for were murdered.  They are told the labs are underground, in the middle of the ocean, no chance of escape, but is it true?

Rules
No limit to characters, just play them all.
Don't be the boyfriend or girlfriend of your own character.
No powerplay, everyone got a weakness.
I want about the same number of each type of person.  I don't want to be overflowed with Gifteds and DNAs.  Please try being a scientist or guard to.
Guards do carry weapons, but they don't aim to kill unless the target is aiming to kill him.
You can make a guard or scientist that is a Gifted, just make a good back story behind it.

Don't make a character with the same animal or power as one already made.

The Lab
There are three stories to the labs.  The first floor is for security, to check everyone if they aren't sneaking anything in or if they are even allowed in.  The second floor is were the tests are preformed and the break room for the scientists and guards.  The third floor is just a bunch of cells to hold the Gifteds and DNAs.

(So Helga is a scientist with a power, but she is not consecrated a Gifted?  I am ok with that I just want to be sure that is what she is. 
I am going to change one of my characters.)

(We can start now.  All of them are in the same area, some can be in the same cell if they get along.  May would be by herself but Asher can get along with anyone.)

May sat in a cell by herself in the form of a large black wolf with gleaming green eyes.  She watched Yumi without a comment.  She couldn't say she liked her, because she didn't like anyone, but she did like her guts.  She got up and walked around the side of the cell still as a wolf.

Asher sat with his head resting on his knees and his arms around his legs.  His large hawk like wings wrapped around him like he was trying to keep himself warm.

(I thought Kitty, the white and black rat, what pregnant but the babies didn't make it or something because she never had them.  I got another rat named Misty.  She is the smallest but she was able to fight Saki and Kitty and win for alpha.  They didn't hurt each other, it is normal for dominance fights when putting in a new rat.  When I free ranged them Misty when into hiding and scared me so bad.  I thought she had gotten away.)

May growled at the women.  She was put close to the wire that held her in.  Her cell was different then the others so she couldn't escape by turning into a mouse and walking through the bars.  She would have to become a bug to get though and she couldn't do that.  They had enough to deal with without them shocking them too.  True she didn't care about Yumi at all but she was in the same boat she was in.  But she had been just a normal person before and was changed into the thing she was today.  May was born with her powers.

Asher shifted his weight on the ground.  Something bad was going to happen to someone.  He didn't want trouble, he just wanted to be left alone.  He did what he was told and no one ever messed with him because there was no need.  Why couldn't the others do the same?
