About
Tales of Radus, or ToR, is a literate, semi-realistic wolf role play group. We're sited, mapped, long-term, though active, and well-plotted, or so I've been told.
There are currently two packs, and a small, growing number of lone wolves. One pack is desperately in need of a beta, not to mention members, while the other is really only in need of deltas. (Healers)
The Vardoas Pack
The Vardoas pack is a rather large pack, living in the western woods of Radus. Their sizes vary greatly, as well as skills and origins. They are the most direct descendants of the original Riotus pack of which the two packs of Radus are derived, and follow the ways of Arsaya and the All-Mother.
The Vagras Pack
The Vagras pack is a smaller pack, living on the eastern plain of Radus. They're generally small-framed and lean, and exceed at running and jumping. Their heritage is more of lone wolves and rogues brought into the small group that broke away from the original Riotus pack. They follow the ways of Arsaya and the All-Mother.
Currently, we are in need of high position wolves for the Vagras pack.
You are allowed to have multiple characters.
Religion
The packs of Radus follow the ways of Arsaya and the All-Mother, Arsaya being the first Gifted wolf to set foot upon the soil of Radus. The All-Mother is their omnipotent, omniscient deity, existing in everything and everyone. The wolves believe that everything is connected to a greater network of life, death, and energy, at the heart of which lies the All-Mother. When something dies, its spiritual energy is moved to another time and place, in a different form. However, if a living creature fulfills its true purpose in its lifetime, then when it dies, it will 'become one' with the All-Mother.
Currently, Sanctuary is the most sacred place known to all packwolves, and the All-Mother's Den is the most sacred place there is. (Yes, there's a difference; The All-Mother's Den's location is a closely-guarded secret known only to pack deltas. While Sanctuary lies at the very heart of the land.)
I may have pulled ideas from Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, and even the Avatar movie by James Cameron.
