I post too much, but I must ask a very important question I have never seen asked or discussed:
Activity.


LOADS of people are 'active' but never come online.
Or, how some groups are on 24/7 365, and expect the same from you.

For example:
Ever checked the RP Advertising Board here on the forums?
SO many of them, in the codes to join, say either:
'How much will you be on?:'
'Activity:'
'How many RP's are you in currently?:'

The last one is the one that bothers me.
Why the heck do you care?!
Sure, I won't be on your group if I'm in two others, but if you have 120+ active members,
WHY THE HECK DO YOU CARE?!

You have SO many members, 98% of which are active.
My favorite is the groups where IN THE RULES it says you cannot be in more then 2 other RP's, excluding the one you're in.
Erm, no.

You have NO control over the RP's I join.

C) Want to discuss it.

I find it annoying and extremely frustrating when they try and control me and what I do.

And you all know them very well, the famous
RP Samples.

Now, obviously, we group leaders have seen over-the-top ones, the lame ones, and a few perfect ones.
But since many people don't make groups, I want to talk about being ACCEPTED.


You give your best, or maybe you are tired or bored and only gave a bit.
You aren't accepted because you spelled 'spectacular' wrong?
IFJDFHYUGDINVDIBGVDIFHGBDFITBSDHITH

Why?!
WHY!?!?
It's just one word that MANY people get wrong!
The fact that so many people rage at you or decline you because you made a simple typo you didn't notice, fine.

But, if you do the *spectacular thing, they still say no because you missed it in your original post.

My favorite, though, is when they ask for just a piece.
A sample, a true sample.
So you give them one.
What do you get in return?
"No, it's too short and not detailed enough. Also, you used wolfspeak."
I used 'optics' because I hate repeating words more then twice per post, and eyes sounds too simple to me.
It just hurts.
My.
Head.

I am looking for some meshes, as listed below.

Plants
TONS of flowers, bushes, and trees.

Rocks
Rocks. Caves, stones, boulders, ect.

Books/Scrolls
I really need these, being as how I'm making a mini-cave full of them. XD

Big Tree
You know the World Tree mesh? I'm looking for the mesh similar to that, but the roots are super long and you can go under it.

Lit, Active, Mapped, Sited, Plotted Dragon RP.

Glynder: A world of peace, beauty, and mythical beasts. But the ones who rule it are the dragons. These monstrous beings ruled the land for generations, and for generations onward. They haven't fought a war since the beginning of their clan, the Clan of Peace as they called themselves. But to the creates around, they were the Dragons of Glynder. And that they stay.
The dragons, though, never altered their surrounds other then to build their temple and to create their small dens. They never once wished to diminish the beauty of their world. While the beasts may of tampered with their areas, the world stay as it did.
Over time, the dragons began to dwindle, and a small group of them was left. Many dragons had left over time, due to both being uninterested, and not liking the current leader. The leader, Anahi, began to let in loner dragons, adding to their numbers.

Current Plot

After some settlement, the group has once again moved to a much larger area of Glynder. This area seems to be perfect in every way: Water, forests, dens.... What could it lack? The group of dragons is now aiming to settle and stay in this area.



Rules


1. Do not bring IC drama to OOC. Though your character may hate the character, no need to hate the person.
2. You can swear, but no not take it over the top.
3. Have fun
4. A 2 character max. 3 for Mods, and 4 for admins. And just because you can, doesn't mean you need to. All of them must be active.
5. Be active. No one-time joinings.
6. Report bad behavior to an admin or mod if they aren't around.
7. No powerplaying, godmodding, or any of that.
8. Low-Medium gore. Just don't over-do it and go detail by detail.
9. Mating is allowed, just do it away from us.
10. We have no main day to be on, so drop by anytime.
11. We are literate. No -Runs around- or "Hi Bob!" as a post.
12. Go ahead, duel, spar, and challenge each other. Just try not to kill.
13. Yes, we have prophecies like WC. We are dragons, we are awesome. But no "Anahi will save the world from a bunch of Unicorns" stuff. First, you must get it passed by admins, and you have to make it riddle-ish.
14. Betrayal can lead to being exiled, loss of rank, or even death.
15. You cannot be related to any dragons in the past, unless given permission.
16. We try not to have cross-elements. But, if you must, please ask.
17. There are no humans on Glynder.
18. Mythical creatures live on Glynder (Unicorns, Fairies, Manticores, ect.)
19. There are NO Earth creatures on Glynder. There may be shark-like, squirrel-like, or fish-like creatures, but no perfects. We might have purple squirrels, but no dark brown ones.

Please, if you are going to join, please try and have Mass Markings. Many of us use it.



Map

We are using a full map now. HOWEVER: It's version 0.3, it's not even finished. There is just so much to do, I published it now. On the site.


Ranks
Leader- The leader of the group. They are in charge of everyone that joins, and also in charge of big events and punishments. Often hang out with the Shamans/Healers, and Leads.
Heir- The heir(s) to the leader's rank. This can be the leader's hatchlings, or a leader-appointed dragon.
Shaman- Lead healer. They take care of the most serious wounds, train the young ones, and are the most likely to get messages in their sleep (prophecies and such).
Arytiss- Lead warrior. In charge of fighting commands, leading dangerous missions, and often protecting the Leader.
Ikn- Lead Scout. In charge of all scouts. Often leads long missions, scouts for places to keep things, and for safe places to stay. Also used as a spy.
Healers- The main healers. Under command of the Shaman. Heal minor wounds, and do most herb collecting.
Warriors- The fighters. They often fight dangerous creatures and like to spar with each other. Most common rank.
Scouts- The lookouts. They scan the area for creatures and dens. Do most of the hunting.
Young- The newly hatched to the year old. They often stick near their mothers.

Game Discussion / RP Ideas are Falling?

Has anyone noticed...

That creative RP ideas are dieing?
I mean, all I've seen lately is:
Warrior Cats: We are clans. We battle. Rawrrrr
Wolves: We are random packs! We like to find mates and have a million pups!
Lions: Rawr. Pride. Yes.

No dragons, no gryphons, no unicorns, not even HORSES.
Now, the dragon fad seems to be coming back in Bonfire, and I'm hoping is spreads by the time I finish my dragon group.
But, really? I remember how fun it was to RP as a dragon, or a gryphon, or even a horse or an elf.
I know a lot of people like JUST Wolves and Warriors and Lions, but come on now.
Be fun!

FH is about creativity and having fun, right?
So why not be a bit more creative?

I find it annoying when I join a clan that has:
(A)
A focus on mates, or perverts as all the males.
(B)
A stupid plot-line based off a stupid prophecy.
(C)
A normal, run-of-the-mill clan who gives into every loner who comes their way (or fights, either one.)
(D)
Evil.

Or wolf pack that have:
(A)
Very serious alpha's
(B)
A very perverted style of RP, where every female's in heat and the males are mating 20 times a minute.
(C)
The 'I want to be alpha!' from everyone.

AND, finally, the lions:
(A)
We are a pride. Rawr?
(B)
More pervs.
(C)
We kill everything!

^ All that is ALL I SEE.
I remember that when my dragon RP's came, or my elf RP came, people were lining up all the way to Atlantis to join.
It's fun, creative, and different!


Why can't more people do that?
Anyways, what's your opinion?

What do I need?

Anything that could be seen in a lab.
Tables, Test tubes, Computer desk thingies with loads of buttons, stuff like that.

Cats of Dragon Mountain

Lit, Active, Mapped, Sited, Semi-Realistic, Unique WC RP.


This RP is very unique compared to most WC RP's because it has a SPECIAL creation.

The cats.
Can morph.
Into....

DRAGONS.
Yes, my friends, dragons.


When a kit is made an apprentice, they must climb a tall mountain (normally with other cats) and get their scale from the dragons.
With this scale, the cats can morph into that color dragon for a short time.
I'll get to that later.

We have 4 clans:
WillowClan, StormClan, FogClan, and LeafClan.
Each clan /will/ have their own special territory with unique features.


SCALE CHART:[/size]

Gold: Dragon of Light. These are leaders or deputies. They get this scale when they go up a rank, climbing the mountain again.
Green: Dragon of Nature. These are medicine cats or medicine cat apprentices. Must ask your clan Medicine Cat OOC if you can get this.
Red: Dragon of Fire. These are normal warriors. Often brave.
Blue: Dragon of Water. These are normal warriors. Often good swimmers.
Brown: Dragon of Earth. These are often blind cats, or become blind when they first morph, and stay blind in both forms.
White: Dragon of Ice. These are normal warriors. Often very serious.
Teal: Dragon of Skies. These are normal warriors. Often very playful.
Black: Dragon of Darkness. These are normal warriors, and as they use their scale more and more, their personalities become colder and darker. Must ask before getting this scale.
Scaleless: No scale. Very rare, and often just hunt.

Has anyone noticed...

That almost all characters have LIGHTER underbellies?
I noticed then when I was drawing IRL, making (as usual) my cat's underbelly darker.
I planned on that charrie being in FH, and I was wondering...
"How comes there are no darker underbellies?"

It's always lighter.
I guess because most people make their charries like this:



And not GOOD like this:



I'm not really sure, but just wondering.
Have any of you noticed this?

"What is the Void?"
Literally, a pitch black map with a few crystals, a random black river, and walls.
It's almost impossible to see, so you're walking blindly.

"Why the heck do I want this map?"
For boredem, or for some random RP.
It's pretty freaking to be walking around in here.

Now, I felt this was an interesting topic :/

'Odd' tags.


What gave me this idea was earlier today, I was in Sky's Rim.
Nothing wrong, until I saw someone with the nametag 'M Assassin'
Er, what?
Turns out they "Killed templars", so they were basically playing Assassins Creed the fail way. :/

Also, the other day, I saw the tag 'F DragTeen' in Bonfire. Why is being a teen so important in FH?

Anyways, have any of you seen odd tags like these, or that make NO sense?
