Game Discussion / Come Join My Group! /No/
« on: August 16, 2013, 09:33:49 pm »
I feel like this topic would be interesting.

Have any of you gotten that random "Hey, join my group!" thing?
I literally JUST did, on my HellHound Selvira while chatting at SB.
I met this guy earlier, and we got into an OOC fight about him trying to recruit me when I'm a Hell Hound that will slowly kill his entire pack from the inside out.
So, me, chatt'n as SB, get ANOTHER request.
Erm, NO.
Like, seriously? I said no before. It can be kinda funny though, while annoying at the same time.

Any of chu peeps had this happen to you?

Species / .:/ Medicatus \:.
« on: August 13, 2013, 08:36:28 pm »
The Medicatus

Appearance

They have light colored fur with almost invisible markings.
They have massive wings of different colors.
Medicatus have long, pure white manes that start on their head, like bangs, and run all the way down their backs.
Their eye color and the fur around their eyes often match the color of their wings.
There is a 1/30 Chance of getting a Medicatus with dark colors, and they are seen as outcasts and mistreated.

Males are often a bit darker then females, with larger manes and wings they use to attract females along with their actions.

[Lepor, the Lead Stolen Caretaker]

Lifestyle

These lions can sing soft songs and lullabies to lure in small and/or young creatures.
Some Medicatus keep the captured young as slaves or for company, others kill them on the spot.
Sometimes, they also use their large and decorative wings to lure in the young creatures.
This is called 'Stealing', because they steal the young creature and force it to do as they wish, good or bad.

Speaking of wings, these lions, though their wings are massive, cannot fly.
Their wings are more for show then for use, though their dense feathers can be used to keep warm.
They also use their wings to lure in prey, to use the odd patterns to get the prey close enough to kill quickly.

Medicatus are very social, and teenagers will often wander off to chat with other species when bored.

Life Cycle

Medicatus' mating season is in the Fall. Durring this time, Medicatus are extremely territorial, though still talk non-stop with each other. Females go into heat for about a week long, then a week pause, then it repeats until the first snows fall. During this time, males often wander off, gathering females along the way. Many make their own little packs with the females, breeding with the many they collect to create a mass pack. Others come back to the main tribe once their young are born in early spring. Medicatus females are often stolen from male to male, making the females less aggressive and more calm, in fear that if they mess with the males, they and their unborn cubs woudl get harmed.

When spring comes, the females of each pack gather closely together, away from the male/males of their final breeding pack. They all give birth about the same time, and young Metdicatus can walk almost instantly after birth. This is because as soon as they are all born, they need to get back to the protection of the male, or to the tribe.

Young Medicatus are very social and bubbley, and love to learn new things. They stay with their mothers or with another female Medicatus until the age of 1 year, when they start wandering their home and socializing more with others.

At the age of 2 years, they are considered 'teens' and often wander away from the main tribe to socialize with other species. They also learn the ins and outs of what rank they shall be.

At the age of 3 1/2, they reach adulthood and can now reproduce. This is when they either leave the tribe they are in to make their own, or stay with it. Females often start to form social groups that travel together when Breeding Season arrives, and males show off a lot. They raise the small creatures they 'steal', and live a lot like wolves.

Game Discussion / That Super Annoying Person
« on: August 13, 2013, 06:21:58 pm »
I felt like I needed to bring this up, because it just happened to me twice in a row.

That super annoying person that you try to RP with, then they ignore you and act like you don't exist.
This literally just happened to me in Bonfire.
I'm on Lepor, and I'm trying to talk to this filly.
Basically, Lepor is a weird species I made up that befriend young animals and then either enslave them or kill them.
Anyways, I lay down next to her with some super literate post after she just got shunned because she's friends with a human.
And she just ignores me.
So I give her a minute or two, to see if she's one of those literates who take 12 years to type.
A minute or so passes, then she types, "INFERNO!!!" [That's it] and runs off like I was never there.
...

WTF?!?!

Then, later, I went to talk to the Inferno character because his father just left him.
I had some literate post about trying to make him feel better because his father left him, when the father comes back and Inferno goes, "Dad! Are you OK?" And races off to his dad.

I know I'm not blocked, so...?
WTF?!

Anyways, has that happened to yall? x3x

~.: Kingdom of Elements :.~

Welcome to the
Kingdom of Elements!
We are lit, active, long-term, mapped, unrealistic all species RP accepting, no joke, any and all.

Our site: http://kingdom-of-elements.boards.net/
The map is there, on the download page. ;D

We are currently stationed in Temple of Dreams when it comes to RPing.

Groupings

There are 2 ways that the creatures in this group are, well, grouped.

(1)
Their element.
Because your element is your personality, people judge you by it.
If you are the evil Blood element, people will stay away from you or hate you (more likely)
If you are the kind Nature element, you will most likely be very social.
Your element is more on a Social grouping than a Group grouping.
Know what I mean?

(2)
Their tribe.
Your tribe means who you are loyal to, at least deity wise.
Almost all the tribes worship a certain deity that their tribe is made after.
For example, the Tribe of the Moon worships Stellaluna, the Goddess of the Night.
Tribes are also a Social grouping is some way,
since each tribe has a different deity, and some tribes have wars over this.

Elements

All creatures get an element at the age of 2, half way through their Trainee training.
Getting your element can make you one of th most popular ones in the tribe, or the most hated.
Sometimes, if you get a horrid element, you will be banished from your tribe.
The elements are listed below.

Fire: Fire Element can use raw power to summon fire at their command. Fire represents Bravery, Power, and Loyalty.

Water: Water Element can summon the power of water, creating waves and floods, or stopping them. They represent kindness but power.

Sky: Sky Element live and breath the sky. They control the winds and do weather support when the Storm Elements gets out of hand. They represent total calm and peace and are very social. Most become Shamans.

Earth: Earth Element can summon walls of rock and have tough skin, making them good Tanks in a battle. They represent pure strength and not very social.

Nature: Nature Element can grow plants with ease depending on their size, and use them to fight. They represent peace, calm, much like the Sky, but Nature are very shy.

Shadow: Shadow elements can bend darkness, getting rid of all the light in an area, or blind an enemy for up to a week. They represent bravery and are the dare-devils of the elements.

Blood: Blood Elements have two powers: 1) To use magic to poison someone's blood stream, or 2) Go into a 'god mode' for about 3 minutes when they go on a massive power and grow about 5 times their real size. They represent evil and cruelty.

Ice: Ice Element can freeze something (or someone), or make something really cold. They represent patience, scorn, and focus.

Light: Light Element are like the opposite of Shadow element. They bend light, making someone blind, or can summon a little ball of light to follow them around. They are really useful when exploring. They represent kindness, bravery, and patience.

Poison: More or less a side branch of Blood elements. They can poison something with ease, either a sleep poison or a killing poison, they are masters of poison. They represent thoughtfulness and bravery.

Star: Star Element can summon comets, meteors, or create shooting stars. They are second hardest element to master. Stars are also mutts of personality, but are more aggressive than magic.

Magic: Magic Elements can harness every other element. This element is the hardest to learn, since they are mutts of everyone else. They represent a mutt of personality.

~-~ History ~-~

Long ago, dragons ruled everything.
The seas were like over-sized pools, the sky was like an endless plain, and the ground was a personal woods. Dragons raided all they could: Human villages, castles, and even each other's clans.
Humans were so angry, they went to their wizard. After a few hours, the wizard agreed to make a spell to curse all the dragons. It took 5 years to make the spell, and another year just to gather enough materials. Then, the spell was cast, on the full moon.
The curse caused chaos with the dragons. Flames had their scales burn their skin, while the Waters couldn't go under the water or surface if they were already under. The Clouds were banned from flying, while the Vines were grabbed by all plants and bound in place. Shadows were caused blindness for the night, and the Outcasts were driven into madness. This curse is what made the dragons kill all the humans, and destroy anything that was left.
The Clouds started attacking other dragons. This lead to the war. No one knows why or how the war started, just that the Clouds attacked, and others followed.

~-~ The Map ~-~

The map is a dragon shaped island.called Dragons' Cove.Dragons' Cove is surrounded by a large, island dotted sea. These little islands are called The Scales. There, however, is one island that is not one of The Scales. That island is called Sea Refuge, where the Waters make their camp. The next is the Burning Plains. The Burning Plains is where the Flames call their territory and all other dragons call their death. These plains are located on the wing of the dragon, taking up a large chunk of the island.

Some pictures of the map are below.

But, here are the camps!

A nice shoot of the Flames' camp.

Welcome to the
~.: Elves Of Edenwood :.~
Group post!

This RP is closed. Sorry D:
Message me if u think I should try to bring it back!

We are mapped, new, semi/full lit, and new!
I am looking for elves to join this group (since not many play FH)

Want some 'info' on what I consider elves? Here 'ya go!

In my mind, elves are really fast with high strength with perfect skills. They live pretty much forever.
Elves also DO NOT JUST DO ARCHERY LIKE SOME PEOPLE THINK!!!
They also use swords, maces, staffs, magic, and other types of weapons.
Elves also can turn into a wolf, called the Elven Wolf.

These wolves are sometimes just the wolf, or can be an elf in disguise.
What makes them different then normal wolves is their extra long tails, long ears, and dark green markings.

NOW I bet I lost ya, huh? Don't worry, you don't have to follow my version of elves.

There are two 'clans' of elves, the Woodland Elves and the River Elves. Each clan lives, eats, and fights differently, but have their similarities.

~Woodland Elves~
The Woodland elves live in, well, the woods and forests. Their 'main' camp is in the deepest part of the woods. Common wood elves live on the forest floor in cabins or houses, while royals live in the great tree.
They eat berries, fruits, veggies, and other plant life. Meat is for special occasions and/or for royals. Even then, meat is not eaten often.
Their Riders often ride plant, earth, fire, or light dragons.
Royals:
Riders:
Dragons: Nia
Warriors: Ayame, Avery
Commoners:
Blacksmith(s):
Butcher(s):
Harvesters(Farmers):

~River Elves~
The River elves live next to rivers, lakes, or the ocean. Their main camp is in an island that's on an island in the largest lake in the whole woods. They common elves live in small shacks, royals live in the center on a hill.
They mainly eat fish and other plants that live near the water. Royals will send elves to fish sharks for special occasions. Whale is used for feasts, since they feed many and (apparently) taste really good.
Their Riders often ride water, dark, ocean, and poison dragons.
Royals: Anahi
Riders: Almathea
Dragons: Shanda
Warriors: Gavin
Commoners:
Blacksmith(s):
Butcher(s):
Fishers:

~Travelers~
(AKA Loners)

Travelers (Loners) live in a small village on the left hand side of the map. They travel around (DERP) and sell things at the town markets.
Lone dragons also roam the lands, resting where ever pleases them.
They have pretty much no rules with the clans unless they choose to.
Elves: Ayame
Dragons: Lukas
As u can see, each clan has their own special job. Commoners just sell things they grow/catch/make at a market, along with the others. Royals go to the market as well, but not as much. In both, Royals are treated with high respect (DERP).

Species / --- The Hera ---
« on: January 27, 2013, 03:07:40 pm »
~The Hera~
A Hera is also known as the 'Death Trap' or 'Deadly Beauty' It is a winged wolf with odd markings
and the ability to hide it's wings from veiw.

A female Hera

History

Hera where started when a human took the blood of a bat and placed it into a (beautiful) female wolf. The result was the Hera. The old human managed to make a male, and Hera went free. They soon covered everywhere, and where getting in the way of a lot.
Humans soon started to kill the beasts and sell their pelts for high money. Few are left, but they are still managing to live in the skies and deep forests.

Apperence

Hera look like large bats from far away. But as they get closer, you can tell they are not. Even in their black color, their markings are dark blue. Under female's eyes is a blue line, which is how you can normally tell gender. Females are also more skinny then males. Males are more bulky and strong, while females are willowy and not-so-strong.
Markings are often swirly, except on the tail. The tail often has lines, not swirls and spirals like the rest of the body.

They have large claws and paws, but kinda small heads. This makes it easier to land, and to attack. Their skull is weak, making a single blow to a young one deadly.
Males have large tufts and manes on their back, used to attract a female. Females have longer fur, though.

Behaviour

Hera are very social creatures. They used to live in packs of over 100, but now as they are in smaller numbers, the largest pack known to still live has 15. Hera males and females alike have a 'game' they play that has something to do with their beauty (Yes, even the males are beautiful). The wolves use small magic and make their wings turn invisible, so they look like your every day wolf with odd markings. They then find a wolf pack, and lure out some of the opposite gender. Being quite dumb, the Hera kill the wolf right after they show their wings.

In a pack, when the time for mating season (Late summer early fall) comes, the males puff out their back frills and dance around the female they wish to mate with. If the female lays on her back, that means 'Yes, I will let you.' if the female lays with her head down or curled up, it means, 'No, I won't let you.' Some Hera mate for life, while most never mate with the same male more then twice.

When it comes to territory, Hera are very sensitive. They will mark the same tree two times a day by urinating or scratching it. Most males use their magic to set up a kind of alarm system, that tells the male if friend, prey, or foe pass it.  Females cannot do that.

When a female gets pregnant, the male she mates with has nothing to do with her. Other females who won't give birth help with the ones who will, by hunting for them or cleaning the area. When the time for birth comes (Late spring early summer, depending on if they mated in the usual time), all the wolves ready to give birth enter the same den. Two other females stay in there to help, but no males stay in. They are normally out hunting for the new mothers.

Born blind and deaf, they cannot do much. At two weeks, they can leave the mother's safe fur and wander the den to meet other pups. At one year, they can leave the den and wander in a nearby area when watched. At two years, they are fully grown and start the mating cycle.

Communication

To communicate, the Hera use barks, whistles, howls, growls, snarls, and whimpers. Growls and snarls are use as a warning to other intruding Hera. Barks and whistles are used for day-to-day 'conversation' with other pack members. Whimpers are normally used by pups who want attention, to show fear, or by a lower rank welcoming a higher rank (like beta or alpha).

Making a Hera Character
