Character Name: Laika
Ranking: Rebel Leader
Age: Two Years and Four Months
Background: Laika was salvaged from the street as a young adolescent and taken into the Organization. Soon, her innocence was tainted from the cruel things they told which she was expected to do once she grew of age. But, it was only of fear that she had began to follow in the machine's footsteps, and yet, she began to grow more and more brave as the time passed on. Her thoughts wandered into beyond the grasp of the Organization, and by the time she matured, she was willing to do just about anything to escape. Laika was was sick of these machines, and her rebellious side was beginning to form...
Description/Pictures: Laika is a lean, robust canine with a single robotic leg (Right foreleg.) She is a mixed breed of 10% East Siberian Laika, 20% Schipperke, and 70% Canaan Dog. She has a thick, black pelt with a patch of white on her chest and has a fluffy, curled tail. She also has a small snout.
Role-play Sample: A pungent aroma stung her nostrils, causing Laika to retreat into a huddled ball. The stench of blood was heavy in the air, biting into her nose like sharp teeth. Blood... Fear... The thin canine's snout corrugated with disgust, and she found her way to her paws with a low growl. Spittle slavered from her jaws as she snarled unhappily. Her hackles pricked up and she stood alertly at the sight of a machine. Full-blooded machine... Laika growled under her breath as her glare fixed onto it. She so desperately wished to escape this dreadful place... But how? She assembled her thoughts together, and a plan eventually formed. Escape... Yes... Form a pack... Form a pack and escape this terrible hell she has been living in.
Other: I don't mean to sound impatient, but who is making the map? And when will you estimate it will be completed?
- Thanks

Sorry to ask, but what program did you use to make your cat meshes?

Well, Fern, I would, but I think I'd feel really bad if the game didn't turn out. I'm not saying that there is any chance of that, but if people donated money and it didn't work out, I would feel terrible. ;-;

^^ I cherish every comment. First up, this game is going to be a sign up first. Although, it will be a very easy and quick sign up with few questions. No, our forums aren't quite up yet. I have a proboards up, though, and haven't got to spend much time on it, unfortunately. The proboards is:  www.BeguiledHearts.proboards.com   I'm so sorry for making you wait, Kikiorylandia and Ferangerav, but you are both in the staff as I posted on the proboards. So, back to the answers. There is a multi-player mode and a single player mode, both are to be very entertaining. :3 I know this game is going to cost a fortune, but I'm willing to pay every cent for it. Oh, and models would be much appreciated, so do please post the links if you can. Thanks for all your cooperation. I hope to see you all in the preparing of the game! - Holly

I'm glad to see so many questions. ^^  First up: I'd suggest people be 12+ Before playing due to blood and violence in hunting, but I really don't require any age at all. If your parents/guardians are okay with you playing a certain game, I'm fine with it. But, I must warn, it's unlimited chat, so there can be inappropriate content now and then (Hopefully not so much, though.) Next, I've been thinking about posting the rules soon enough. I'll probably have them on beguiledhearts.proboards.com before on here, but eventually they'll probably make it here. We haven't got much progress, at five staff members, not very much can be done. But, we're trying hard to collect everything together, and I HOPE for this game to be completed in a year or less. Next question, we already are planning hyena into the game. They're supposed to be rivals to threaten your cubs/family/self, a challenge for you to have to protect them. But, I've been thinking, maybe we can fit them as a main character that you can be. Hopefully we can. Thank you, Hugrf, for giving me something to do. :P Hopefully I'll see you on the staff team.

That'd be wonderful! :3 We currently are at five staff members, and we'd love to have you as a sixth, especially since you are dealing with map making! Here's our website: http://beguiledhearts.proboards.com/  I made a few applicant threads, but they appear to be just as rebellious as me. So, until they appear, you'll just have to make due I guess. 3; Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope to see you on the team, Ferangerav. - Holly

Thank you both for posting (And now I feel bad for posting late.) :P We've got better progress, and are still designing the website. We now are currently at four staff members, progress, but very slow. So, due to the slow progress, if anyone is interested, it'd be best to contact me right here on the forums, or when I'm online. But, back about the game. I've decided the new name is to be 'Beguiled Hearts.' It sounds kind of like Feral Heart, and due to that I'm pondering upon whether I should change it again-- Because, I'd hate it for people to think I copied. Anyway, if anyone has played Kuma Games' and Animal Planet's 'I predator,' and if anyone has played Wolf quest, you'll see to it that this game is quite like both, but much better. The models are still being sculpted out, and our expectations for the graphics are HIGH. If possible, I'm hoping the male lion model will look like this example in the link: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-model-lion-fur-animation/690723

I'm working on a game called African Plains. It's basically a MMORPG mixed in with hunting and computerized bosses, almost like SoE in some ways. So far, I've got barely anything done, with only two staff members including me (the owner) and the co-owner. But, I still think it's going to turn out well with enough time. There is going to be at least four main characters to choose from, if not more: Leopard, Cheetah, Antelope, & Lion. You choose gender, age (cub, teen, adult) and I've been wondering on customization. Anyway, it will be kind of like Wolf Quest in African animals, but there's unlimited multiplayer chat, you have more categories for communication, there's more predators & prey, your litter size (offspring/cubs) is randomly generated (Lions 5-1, Leopards 3-1, Antelope 2-1, Cheetah 4-1), more controls, better graphics, and it's more   free ( As in bigger map ). I've been typing up a whole paper on it, but, I'm not here to advertise. So, I just want to let you all know that if this ever gets finished, it's going to be a pretty good game, because I wouldn't send out a bad game. x.x Anyway...

Mapping Tutorials / Downloading Maps
« on: November 24, 2012, 02:42:31 am »
Herro, it's Holly. A bit confused about downloading maps? No worries- there's plenty of private maps to make and download and learn to download! ^-^ First off- you must have the program WinRar downloaded. All you have to do is Google 'WinRar' and tons of websites with the download should come up. Here's one place: http://winrar.soft32.com/free-download?gclid=CKeFv9TI5rMCFQixnQodq0AAtQ (Sorry if there's an ad, skip it) There's a trial if you don't want to buy it, but, when it says your out of time, I skip it and it still works for me. WinRar is completely safe and I think compatable for all computers. :D After you have that downloaded, go to the download link or website that the person recommended to you. Save it and open the file. Then- once it's opened, take everything from inside it and put it into the FeralHeart Exports folder (make sure you don't just put the main folder, but, the things in it). After you have everything in the exports folder, close out that page and start Feral-Heart. In The Cape Of Distant Worlds (the public map) the portal should appear.. Welps...I hope I helped..

Other Games / Aro'kai
« on: November 23, 2012, 08:00:34 pm »
Herro- it's Holly. I'm sure many people have heard about the game Aro'kai. It hasn't came out yet, and hasn't stated when it's to come out or if it actually will come out. It's been in progress for a while, and has a small demo called the canine creator out. I've played the creator before- and, by the looks of it, it's gonna be a few more years until the game comes out. It looks to be a role-playing game like Feral-Heart with many more models that are very detailed and realistic- up until the color of the character is changed. Anyway, here's the link: http://www.arokai.proboards.com/
