I can't say what I like the most, because it's all great. But I think it's a really sweet thing that you're painting a portrait of your friend for her birthday. ^^

Ahhhh if only I could give her something else for her birthday. :/ A painting will have to do. Sucky part is, since it's going to contest she likely won't get it for another few months and her birthday is December 22 xD

Art is something I have always been super passionate about-- whether it's creating it or just admiring the work of others. I love beautiful things. It makes me feel all warm and floofy inside that you enjoy it :3

Yee, she's a wolf/fox hybrid. I've been SLOWLY developing my fox style and have yet to actually draw her in it xD And is teal! Only her tail tip is cyan :3

They're paintings :3 The tree is oil paints and the lake is oil pastels, sort of like crayons but not wax.
And I am entering my first one this February! I'm so nervous.

Hah, it's funny because I was just recently talking to a friend about this... she's entering the contest too because we're in the same class/rank or whatever. She mentioned that I have gotten better over the years and that I should make art a career and I just kinda wrinkled my nose at her... xD Hopefully I will progress as an artist in the future though, just not professionally :)

It's possible, :3. There is really nothing wrong with improving your art skills even though you arnt going to use them in a career. I think the only jobs you might get if you have a art degree is being in a museum, or making art pieces for museums(there are more but can't think right now). Which is like only a handful...well...in Texas maybe. But yeah, much luck to ya on the contest and have fun floof <333
