It's based on a real place, yus. I actually snapped the picture while I was driving... xD

They're paintings :3 The tree is oil paints and the lake is oil pastels, sort of like crayons but not wax.
And I am entering my first one this February! I'm so nervous.

Hah, it's funny because I was just recently talking to a friend about this... she's entering the contest too because we're in the same class/rank or whatever. She mentioned that I have gotten better over the years and that I should make art a career and I just kinda wrinkled my nose at her... xD Hopefully I will progress as an artist in the future though, just not professionally

It's possible, :3. There is really nothing wrong with improving your art skills even though you arnt going to use them in a career. I think the only jobs you might get if you have a art degree is being in a museum, or making art pieces for museums(there are more but can't think right now). Which is like only a handful...well...in Texas maybe. But yeah, much luck to ya on the contest and have fun floof <333
