Possible additions to the map maker?
« on: March 04, 2017, 10:39:27 pm »
So, it would be really awesome if there was some additions to the map maker. A group selective tool which lets you select a area of objects (one way by clicking and expanding a box over the objects you want to select) and a 'clone' tool letting you clone the objects and move them around the map. And a 'group' tool to group objects together. I think this would make placing foliage and rocks much easier while making maps!

This does sound like a very useful feature! Unfortunately without access to the games coding it could be a very long time to see a change like this. You can already clone an object using the C key in the map maker while having an object selected.

But very good idea! =)
For the sake of my own health and interests, I've left FH and I won't be looking back.

If you go in object maker and add the meshes one at a time you can do this by making them as an "object" in a separate group named for that map.  But they stay in the same orientation to each other regardless of map topography so some of them might sink into the grounds a little bit.
The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?
"Because it was my favourite & I like it"
