How to 'rank up'??

Hello,
Lately I've noticed people have got a certain amount of stars then underneath it says: "Jr. Member" and many more.
Seeing how mine says Newbie or Newbie member, I was wondering how I could change that?

For example, do the mods do it? Do I have to post a certain amount of posts? It would be great if you explained to me how.

Yes, You need a certain amount of posts to Rank up.

Newbie                          *           0
Jr. Member                    *           25
Sr. Member                    **          50
Experienced Member       **         100
Dedicated Member          ***        250
Full Member                    ***       500
Elder Member                 ****      1000
Elite Member                  ****      1500
Hero Member                 *****      2500
Legendary Member         *****      4000
