I have succeeded in making part of my preset transparent, but it didn't have the result I was expecting, which makes me think that I am missing something important.

To be more clear: I'm making a preset for a character who is missing one of their front leg and all of my google searches led me to transparent preset tutorials. However, it leaves the stub hollow, which is not very aesthetically pleasing.

I have seen presets were the legs were transparent, but the stubs' endings were solid rather than an entry point to the cold, empty shell of the FH models. I haven't found a single preset tutorial or code masterpost containing anything like this.

Can somebody put me on the right path?

Edit: I'm beginning to think that this was a fever dream and that no such code exists, in which case I'll stick to the hollow stub

Hey yall, I'm trying to make a doublesided preset right now but it won't work!! I tried to do it before and succeeded, thanks to tutourials on the forums, but this knowledge has been lost when I installed the update.

Long story short, I'm trying to do exactly what I did last time, but it won't work!
I looked on the forums, and all of the images for the tutorials are gone, which makes the tutorials useless?? There's only two video tutorials and one doesn't work and the other doesn't even explain it.

I would like it if someone experienced could tell me what to do? This is a project that I've been meaning to do for a long time and I'd hate for my lack of experience to ruin it.


For more info:
I renamed my body parts preset_1bodyL/preset_1bodyR (that's what I had done last time I attempted making an asymmetrical preset) and change the coding in the material thing (renaming it to texture preset_1bodyL and so on) and the body turns out white no matter what I do.

Ok, so I'm just gonna go ahead and admit that I'm not the best at making presets. I made two, the first one being a preset of my character Heulog (it was so awful that it became my Halloween preset) and the other being the one I will display here. The Heulog preset was lost when my sister formatted the computer. Not that I regret it...

^^ the preset of my first decently roleplayed warrior cat, Owlflight. She's a StarClan warrior. Unfortunately, I was so overwhelmed when I had all my preset done nicely, I forgot to add her face scars. They're not in the screenshots above. I also must give credit to Ledaline, for the amazing fur texture they have done and that can be seen on my preset.

I know there are some flaws, such as the eyes (note that Owlflight is blind, though). I also largely based her off my tortie-shell siamese, Kally. I intended to use her legs' colors, but... Not ready to do two-sided presets, ya' know ;v;

Heulog 'Sun Demon' O'Sullivan



Origin: No, she is not the animal you see. She's inside of the head. The Sun Demon took full control over Heulog's body a while ago, when this one was still a young cubit. It's a worm-like parasite. (And for you who are Animorphs fans... hehehe you can guess where I got the idea from)

The Host: A poor Feliyena who died in the reality, survived in this other universe. Unfortunately for her, the Sun Demon reached its maturity the day she was supposed to die.

The Parasite: Purely insane, but not that 'I'm going to kill you tonight' insane. She gains the trust of the people she meets, she waits, she waits... then, when you expect it the least, at THAT moment she might kill you.
Because tha's just how she is. Hobbies: Singing Disney songs with Cyclonewing, telling everyone she eats scrambled dragon eggs for breakfeast in front of a dragon egg, raging at a dragon hatchling, singing 'Tiptoes Through The Tulips'

Feliyenas are hybrids. They're the result of a male hyena and a female domestic cat mating together.
Sometimes they're fertile, but rarely.

The firsts of the specie were siblings:
The first was Arwydd. He lost it and was killed by his sister, Heulog.


The second was Heulog. Catching a sickness known as Parviliokeamea, she died in a horrible way.


The third one was Tywyll. No one ever saw her, she might have been killed.

Young Feliyenas are known as cubits.

Their markings are usually like a spotted hyena's (not obliged to use the SH's markings. Cheetah markings for the body, siamese face... All kind of combinations can be used.)

Their iris usually have two colors. (ence the use if blind slit eyes.)

They are the size of cats and have a cat-like tail. Their ears are immense and tufted. Their jaws are strong, but not as strong as a hyena's.

There's many running through Fluorite Plains (From different universes and such. Offically, there's only two generations of Feliyenas. The dead siblings and Heulog's four offsprings.)

There's still a Heulog (coming from another universe. In there, she didn't catch the sickness but a mind-controlling parasite tokk permanent control over her body the day she would've died).

There's still an Arwydd (Other universe, once again. In that one he is sane).

Tywyll still haven't gave any life sign.

Fao, Lia and I wouldn't want Feliyenas all around the maps. Besides, Heulog's offsprings are too young to reproduce and probably won't be able to. There's also enough universes as that in our RP. >u>
